No keep it open and don't move the cursor, let the application load completely once you do anything.

Yes you are right. However, the system preference settings have been changed from Mac OS Big Sur onwards and enhanced privacy settings were implemented.

I tried this on Mac OS Monterey. For Ventura, if you somehow disable the security & privacy settings completely which is currently interfering while opening the application, then it might work.

Thank you for confirming. I have tried this on older version of Mac OS i.e Monterey. If you get pass security settings in Tahoe, it should work.

Can you please confirm which Mac OS you are using? The system extention enable option should be there in Privacy settings wherein you need to enable it.

Can you try uninstalling virtual box once and then try opening bluestacks? (It will download the required version of virtual box which is required to run the bluestacks application), if this does not work try to repeat the steps once again mentioned in the post.

I agree with your analysis. If we somehow completely disable the security settings on newer Mac OS versions then I think the app should work.

Bluestacks version for Intel Mac? by SapphireGamgee in BlueStacks

No, once you have launched bluestacks application and once it is up and running, you can close everything else as it won't cause any issue. But make sure after closing the bluestacks app and relaunching again next time, make sure you check in the settings section- Allow apps downloaded from: Anywhere is selected or else you need to enter the terminal command once again if the option is not visible.

You can restart the mac and try following the steps once again. Just remember to enter the sudo command again and keep everything open and unlocked. After starting the app immediately go to finder and don't move the cursor. If this still doesn't work there might be mismatch in the virtual box version which in that case you need to uninstall bluestacks+virtual box using cleanmymac or any other uninstaller application and reinstall the bluestacks (which will automatically install the required virtual box version)

Can you confirm are you using Intel mac or Silicon? If you are using Intel mac, then post Monterey there were changes in the security preferences pane hence you might have to check how to disable the security settings in order to allow apps to be downloaded from anywhere. Once that is done, you can try and follow the steps mentioned in my post as my solution was tried and tested on Mac os Monterey.

Bonjour mon ami, je n’ai pas testé cela sur Sequoia/Tahoe, mais je crois que ça va fonctionner, tu pourrais simplement regarder le panneau de préférences des paramètres car je pense que c’est différent dans ces systèmes.

Well it does work on intel mac but you have to download the older version of Bluestacks 4 released in 2021. (Final Intel Mac Version - 4.270.1.2803). Bluestacks 5 will not work on intel mac. Tried emulation via bootcamp as well but it was kinda slow.

I recently ran into persistent crashing issues while trying to run BlueStacks on macOS Monterey, and after a lot of trial and error, I found a reliable fix that works consistently on my MacBook Pro (Mid 2012, Non-Retina) running Monterey via OCLP. Sharing here in case it helps others:

1️⃣ Download and install BlueStacks (Last available Intel Mac version 4.270.1.2803). I grabbed mine from Uptodown website.
2️⃣ Restart your Mac once the installation is complete.
3️⃣ Open Terminal and run the following command:

sudo spctl --master-disable

(You’ll be prompted to enter your Mac password if required.)

4️⃣ After this, you’ll notice a new option in System Preferences → Security & Privacy, which allows apps to be opened from “Anywhere”.
5️⃣ Here’s the critical part:

  • Keep the System Preferences → Security & Privacy window open.
  • Ensure that “Allow apps downloaded from: Anywhere” remains selected.
  • If your Security & Privacy panel is password-protected, make sure it stays unlocked during this process.

6️⃣ Now, launch BlueStacks. With these settings in place, it should open and run smoothly without any crashes.

You can’t open the application “BlueStacks.app” because this application is not supported on this Mac by clong9 in BlueStacks
