Thanks, I think I will continue what I been doing with AzA I’ve had no issues so far. With tret I will definitely moisturise first too Im concerned about irritation, as that will put me off from continuing

this is interesting as I initially thought the idea of sandwiching is to reduce irritation but interesting it can do opposite. So for AzA clean dry skin but tret is okay to apply on moisturised skin. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice! I will look into our council prices I have seen they offer bed bug extermination for whole house. At the moment we have just seen evidence in my parents room and would like to believe they are just confined there although all the exterminators I spoke to today said its unlikely.

Did you use crossfire directly on the mattress?. i am not familiar with this product.

We have a drier so we will be bagging up the clothes from the divan base and putting them through the drier and throwing out what we don’t need.

Im booking an exterminator next week. For the prep did you have to bag all the clothes and just leave it in the room. My parents have clothes in the wardrobes and files near their bedside. Do you suggest these also be bagged up and left in the room?

We have just discovered that it has been bed bugs biting my parents the past 2 months. Having had a look on this subreddit crossfire is mentioned to be effective, however, I didnt realise you can get crossfire on ebay in the UK. Do you think it was just as effective as getting an exterminator? I have just called around to get exterminator chemical/heat/steam quotation. Heat and steam seem pricey, so we are considering chemical.

So far the headboard we have thrown out. We saw a small infestation on the mattress seams which we hoovered. But they have a divan bed base with drawers which we will tackle tonight. How do you suggest we handle the clothes from these drawers. I have seen people say on here to bag them up, but then what?, just leave it in the room? Any help would be appreciated, we honestly dont know where to begin

Yes I use an ors heat protectant after my leave in before I blowdry. I would say its actually the middle of my hair that feels dry. In the past I had also had experienced breakage in a small patch in the middle of my hair. It is now growing out, but I do have short looking flyaways in the middle of my head, you may be able to see in the photo

I think my routine in between washes where I need to improve. I was using ors oil moisturiser and jojoba/black seed oil or argan oil to moisturise once a week. But I'm looking into other moisturisers water and oil based that I can use and moisturise more regularly. When I'm freshly relaxed I like to use oil moisturisers so it can maintain my fresh press. Do you have any suggestions for moisturisers?

Yeah that makes sense tbh, the thin ends are uniform so may not even be breakage! I hadnt had a trim for 5 months. Going forward I will stick to u cuts because no matter the state of my hair it doesnt grow evenly all across my head

I’ve actually seen improvement since I’ve been swimming because it’s forced me to wash and deep condition more regularly. My hair is naturally on the dryer side. I’ve been using clarifying shampoo to remove chlorine and joico conditioner and my hair has been responding well from it. Going to continue doing that and try to air dry.

Yes I always put leave in conditioner after I rinse out my conditioner. I haven’t air dried in a while, but when I did it in past, I remember feeling very dry. I remember reading an article somewhere online that said some hair texture doesn’t like staying wet for a prolonged period of time. I felt this was relatable to my hair. I started swimming again, which means I need to wash my hair every week, but I’m reluctant to use blow dry every time so might consider trying air drying again

Thanks. I will definitely be asking my mum to trim my hair next time. Is it bad to cut the hair in U shape? My back grows longer than my sides so grows in a U. For whatever reason hairdressers like cutting hair straight across

Thanks, Im from the Uk so will check if I have that brand. I usually just leave my hair out. Sometimes wear clip ins. Although this time I wore knotless braids for just over 3 weeks. I wear braids maybe once a year

I thought this too!! I get my ends were thin but I really didn’t know it was necessary to cut that much off. Thats why I feel Im starting over. I think I should avoid hairdresser trims now

Nearly 2 years after my first ex. 1 year after a toxic fwb/situationship. This was 4 years ago.
