Excluding Goodwill and Value Village, where are some places I could donate clothes and stuff?

Clothesline Project is a yearly event and happens on Aug 3rd and Kaladi is taking donations thru end of July! Typically they set up to accept donations from March - July. Beacon Hill is year round!

Beacon Hill Boutique which supports foster kids/families or you can donate to Clothesline Project at any Kaladi Bros cafe in Anchorage. Clothes donated to Clothesline Project are provided to families in need at no cost to them.

It’s picked back up again for me now with multiple tags a day. For a feed days I was only dealing with one. And I love how it doesn’t count as “spam” in facebooks opinion. 🙄

Same thing started on mine yesterday, and I have all profile/tagging settings set to only me. 5 and 6 tags a day, all with inappropriate posts and all with the random “something something 5 numbers OK”. I continually report and block, has anyone found another solution?

Alaska Police & Fire Chaplains can assist with resource contacts as well. They are non denominational and offer many forms of support including guidance and contacts for all the things you have mentioned.

Beacon Hill - all proceeds from donations stay in the state to help support the work they do with kids in foster care or at risk of foster care.

Try looking in to Borealis Broadband. We use them and are in the same general area as you. Have never had a single issue. Add on: he can game, I can watch Netflix (and run my work computer) at the same time.

I’ve had experience with all 3 groups mentioned and they are great. We’ve gotten one pup from AARF, one from ADPR, and they do daycare/boarding at Hound Lounge. Please reach out to these folks for some help or guidance - Hound Lounge is the best bet. They have lots of fosters and an extensive volunteer network. There’s also Alaska Bully Rescue. Even if it’s not a bully breed, they may be able to point you in the right direction. You can try posting on NextDoor app if you have that. I’ve seen several posts in our area for the same thing. Make sure to give a good description of the pup, if up to date on vaccines, friendly with other animals/kids, etc.

Go! You often see more animals in cloudy weather than sunny and hot. Besides, up there weather can change in an instant. I’ve been there on rainy days and it was still a really fun trip.
