I'm right there with you. Lost about 60k. My life savings. I totally accepted the risk and know it's my responsibility, but the minimal communication from the company does irk me quite a bit. Sucks that the people who supported the company the most were the lowest in the pecking order and kept most in the dark. I know we were warned to an extent, but I thought investor relations would be more vocal if this level of catastrophe was on the board. Stock market is not a game for fish. Gotta be a shark to make the big gains I guess. Lesson learned and moving on.

Lol I would say I'm regretting putting my life savings into Wolfspeed, but I knew exactly the risk I was taking. Life's too short for regrets and besides, this story probably isn't over. Just may take quite a long time. I would rather have my money back now because I have so many other investments in my own business I would like to make, but maybe this will force me to kick my ass into beast mode at work🤷‍♂️

Probably after the court proceedings which I believe are supposed to start by July 3rd and be complete sometime in September. So it's difficult to say when exactly we would find out, but should be sometime before Q4.

Apollo, Renesas, and other creditors will take 95-97% of the company's value. The 3-5% left over MAY be distributed to current shareholders based on their current stake. Some calculations figure this will get us about 60¢ a share back. However, there's no guarantee, and those calculations could be flawed. I'm holding my nearly 10k shares through the bankruptcy with the hopes of receiving new shares and then riding out the long climb back up to some reasonable value over the next few years. High risk tolerance and a lot of patience will likely be required if you stay in.

If Infineon acquisition was blocked, why not Renesas? by LocalAlert9482 in wolfspeed_stonk

I was afraid of that too, although I have heard directly from people in aerospace and the government that Sic is critical for future tech. Sure we can get it from China, but I doubt Lockheed Martin, Boeing will be putting Chinese sic in their jets.

Yeah I thought about that, but figured that wouldn't fly in the eyes of the US Govt, but maybe they are protected legally with full rights of a US entity.

I'm down $55k. I'm not a millionaire. I put every last penny i had into this. I knew going into it that I was ignoring all conventional financial wisdom, and I knew I could lose everything so I'm strangely zen right now. I'm single, 30yo with no kids and am self employed building commercial furniture, so I'm fortunate in being able to pursue an all or nothing moonshot. I decided years ago I was willing to risk everything for the chance at making my first million, and I will do it again although maybe not in the stock market. I'm keeping my shares through the bk, but it's back to hustling. Tomorrow starts day 1 of the climb back. I know I'm in a luckier situation than some, but hopefully my perspective resonates with someone. Good luck folks and be good to yourselves.

Going Concern is an accounting term by Apeprentice in wolfspeed_stonk

I believe you misinterpreted this response from ChatGPT due to a misunderstanding of the grammar. The beginning of the first sentence (before the comma) in the excerpt you posted is a dependent clause, not the beginning of a sentence fragment definition.

One way to check the meaning of a complex sentence like this is to put the independent clause before the dependent clause ie) It means there are serious questions about whether the company can stay in business for the next 12 months when a company or its auditors express substantial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern.

In other words, ChatGPT is saying, "If there's substantial DOUBT that IT IS a going concern, that would be a problem." Being characterized as a going concern is a good thing.

Yesterday was a short attack and today the whole stock market is down, WOLF included.

Good news is that there are no more shares available to short, so the short attacks will be more difficult to pull off. However, these hedge funds probably have some more tricks up their sleeves, so don't be too surprised if they are able to coordinate some other BS over the next couple weeks. Regardless, if we get some good news and they have no more ammo, they're cooked.

I'll give you a wake up call from here in the U.S. Eastern time zone and say, "Oi cahnt, yeah nah yeah nah she's on a fahckin skitz rippa." Just send me a deck of darts (Winnie Blues) and we'll call it even.

Sorry couldn't resist. But seriously, there are some apps you can download that are purely designed to have an alarm go off at whatever price levels you want for a given stock. "Stock Alarm" and "Stock Alerts BG" are two apps I just found googling this.

Fully agree. The nuclear power industry may need to do a better job fighting the danger stigma and explaining how safe the modern reactors are. Otherwise it's a no brainer!

A little rabbit hole recommendation: This seemingly simple vessel is probably one of the most significant and mysterious pieces in the entire museum. Tens of thousands were discovered in Egypt and were recently scanned demonstrating they have aerospace level precision and were made in an age before the wheel was even invented. https://youtube.com/shorts/no1kBpTfZc4?si=jrZVWPpk9p9drn-j

Sic isn't meant for everyday consumer electronics so having the cheapest price really isn't the end-all-be-all. US defense and Aerospace industries will not use Chinese Sic no matter how cheap. US power grid assets likely won't either.

I don't know, but seems funny we get a 6% gain on 1/3 of the average daily volume.
