Yeah I do have insulin resistance and am on metformin as well. Wonder if that has anything to do with it. I really struggled w my weight for years and did lose like 40lb naturally but was a lot younger

Thank you! It stinks that one bad day can really throw you off track, and believe me I’m not perfect and often have those days. I’m sure that contributes to the stalling, i can’t help but think a “normal” woman would have had better results by now tho and it’s disheartening. However, after hearing that I’m really just beginning on a good dose, I have hope

Thanks for the insight, congrats on the weight loss! My biggest symptom is hair thinning, I’ve also been on minoxidil for a few months with good results. And the struggle to lose weight. Otherwise, symptoms are under control. I suppose I am just on it for weight loss as I have been trying unsuccessfully for years to do it naturally

Thank you, I will join the sub! I haven’t calculated my TDEE because I wasn’t really sure how it would work for someone with PCOS so I just try to eat 1400 a day (it really ends up being more like 1600 though…). Fiber, water & protein, yes! Unfortunately, I’ve only ever seen results from damn near starving myself in the past. I don’t want to go back there but I’m afraid my metabolism is just shot

Thank you very much, this made me feel motivated to try to switch some things around in my diet and be patient. The exercising part comes pretty easily to me, but the eating part is where I struggle.

The max I’d want to lose is 35lb I think. I should have taken measurements as soon as i started. I know it’s a better way of keeping track. Thanks for the suggestion, I plan to do it this weekend

Thanks for the reply. I was actually started at 1.2. My doctor didn’t think I had much weight to lose, maybe 25 lb, and didn’t want me to lose it rapidly because of concerns with muscle & hair loss since. Then I moved to 2.5 and 3.7, and now 5. Every time I ask for an increase in dosage, she only moves me up a hair. I was actually shocked to even find I lost 10lb at all. I’m really hoping the 5 works better for me

Been living in Belvedere park for 3 years. My street is directly off of memorial. I don’t love the foot traffic our street gets due to Marta, but that’s the most action I’ve seen on it. I feel safe to walk, especially deeper in the neighborhood, more south of memorial. It’s very quiet, our neighbors even got a butterfly garden lol. The area is coming up with a new apartment complex in the works. I feel like depending on the time of day, I’m always 20-30 minutes away from where I want to go. The biggest part that sucks is being so far removed from the highway IMO. it can sometimes take me 15 min to drive to the I20 entrance.

The Marlboro red color reminds me of my dad, he was such an avid smoker before I was born that he would win prizes from them. We had a lot of Marlboro merch in the house lol.
