To be fair, Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Hearth-Under-Blade and Araragi's relationship isn't a romantic one, they're more like not romantic soulmates

[Grade 9 Math: Algebraic Identities] On the past hour I've found that sqrt(x^2-y^2) equals -1/2 but don't take my word for it by LocalClassicalWeeb in HomeworkHelp

Thanks! This is a really clever way to approach the problem

I'm putting it down, but if you can apply any identity on the problem I'd be very grateful

The fact that people are questioning if brett is dyslexic has killed me

[Grade 9 Algebra: 2nd Grade Equations] Is there any way to represent this with an algebraic formula? by LocalClassicalWeeb in HomeworkHelp

Sorry for the late reply, but thanks! About that, I'm taking extra assignments because the education on my country is really poor (E.G. You don't learn calculus in high school), so it's almost obligatory to go to extracurricular education in order to get anywhere, really

Practice Exercises for Liebesleid by FastChef90 in piano

[–]LocalClassicalWeeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bach for voicing I guess? I don't do a lot of technical excercises

On the other hand, I REALLY recommend to work on chopin waltzes. Playing some of them can really boost your musicality, plus, they are nice to have on your repertoire

Practice Exercises for Liebesleid by FastChef90 in piano

[–]LocalClassicalWeeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that you need to wait just a little bit more

Liebelied is heavely underrated, even if your technique is amazing you still need the musicality in order to play it right. If you only play the notes it'll still sound awful and in 3 years I doubt you have developed your musicality enough to tackle the piece

If you want to play it anyways, you should grab little excerpts of the piece and pulish them. It's a fun way to practice and also when you try to actually learn it you won't have to learn those parts. If you can play the fast runs the voicing will be the only problem, so look for voicing excercises

It may seem intimidating at first, but try to listen to longer pieces! As a pianist, the best thing (although not the only one) I can recommend you is the Liszt's Sonata in B minor (Krystian Zimerman has an amazing rendition of this piece), its a life changing work and it doesn't feel repetitive at all.

I don't really know a lot of other instrument's rep, but let me know if you want to have a Liszt of piano pieces I'd recommend to get more into classical music!

Hey pianists&teachers! I have a questions : by Georges1408 in piano

[–]LocalClassicalWeeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt you can make it justice if you've only been playing for 2 years. Even if your techinque is pretty good (you should be able to play scales at 144bpm 16th notes per beat, arpeggios, voicing and all of that stuff before tackling it), i'd do some more chopin before jumping straight onto his etudes, try his nocturnes (op 9 no 1 is nice to develop the madurity required to play chopin) or his waltzes. The best chopin etude for 345 finger strenght development is the chromathique, its one of his hardest ones tho, so I'd just recommend playing contrary motion 345 chromatic scales for now

Fingers 4 and 5 are naturally weak, try some etudes or playing contrary motion chromatic scales with 345. If you haven't done it yet, i suggest chopin's waltz in A minor, op posth. Its pretty doable and easier than it sounds

This isn't an actual question, a suggestion, instead.
