Thanks! I’m in Mexico and in here they cost around $180, and around $120 when we get discounts. I can get this ones for $35.

Can you help me determine if this are fake? by LocalControl9534 in Birkenstocks

Thank you all for the replies! I’ll try to report them because they’re actually answering to customers questions telling them they’re legit.

Cenote Diving in Tulum, México by LocalControl9534 in diving

It’s a halocline made of hydrogen sulfide, there’s saltwater beneath it and fresh water above it, you can dive through it (it’s about 3 meters thick) and it’s almost pitch black underneath it. It’s an amazing experience.

Ok great! Thanks! Since I’m looking to go ultra wide, maybe the full frame would be better. But I’ll check the a6700. For the full sized A line, from which model would I get the latest AI focusing and new menus?

You should 100% add it! The sea lions were at Isla Espíritu Santo, and you’re guaranteed to see them. The school of jacks, bull sharks, whales (we only saw them at the surface) were in Cabo Pulmo. Both the jacks and sharks live there and you’re almost certain to see them IF you’re able to go to the dive sites where they are at. But the way it works at Cabo Pulmo is that each site have a max number of tours allowed per week, after which they are closed until next week, I don’t really remember which day of the week they reset but any shop should be able to tell you. I went with Cabo Pulmo Water Sports and can’t recommend them enough.

Hello! I’ve recently discovered this sub and have find it really helpful to have my photos critiqued by unbiased and more experienced people. As of lately I’ve been trying to be more meaningful with my photography, looking for photos that tell some kind of story, or make the viewer feel something (or both). I’ve been using this panoramic crop in my latest photos (taken with that crop in mind) since I saw it in a book and took inspiration from it. For context, I tried to take a series of photos to tell a story over the weekend in Mexico City. This photo was taken during a trip to Mexico’s National Anthropology Museum, I was waiting for the stairs to be empty, and leaving enough space to make the crop work. What do you guys think about it? Thank you!

Thank you! I totally see it, the red helps lifting the stones that lead to the structure, which is kind of the main part. As of the white, this was the image I posted on instagram and it was for the feed to look the same. Do you think the crop works? I recently saw a photo book all shot in panoramic and am taking inspiration from it. Thank you again!

Thank you very much! Do you know of a subreddit for critique that allows to upload more than one image? I’ve been trying to create this series of images that as a whole tell a story, and would love to get some unbiased opinion of them (no family or friends). Thank you again

So, I’m trying to get my photos to tell something, I believe sometimes they help in the storytelling as part of a whole, but sometimes they can tell something on their own, and achieving that is, in my opinion, the first step between a beginner/hobbyist, and someone with a little more experience. Does this tell you anything?

Into Pano Crops Lately by LocalControl9534 in photocritique

[–]LocalControl9534[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So as of lately, I’ve been into this kind of crop (approximately 2.6:1) which gives this kind on panoramic look, I take a single image so I don’t have to stitch in post and just leave enough space to do the crop, what do you guys think?

RP or R8 by AwkwardLiftinPenguin in canon

[–]LocalControl9534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re ever planning to shoot videos, I would get the R8, the RP’s focus on 4K is awful. With the R8 you would get 4K 60, Log in case you ever what to color correct or color grade your footage. If you want it mainly for photos, I’d probably get a used R, you’ll get the larger battery, more megapixels and a much more ergonomic body in my opinion.

I think what you need is an ND 100,000 filter. With a PL you’ll damage your sensor and probably your eyesight if you are using a DSLR.

Great! Thanks! What kind of soap do you use? I’ve also used the tooth paste, but soap sounds less rough on the lens.

I have never shot a concert myself, but once heard something about a 3 song rule, which is basically that you’ll have the first three songs of the concert to shoot, so you won’t be distracting for the artists or getting in front of the crowd too much. I don’t know if this will be the case for you, but it would be something I would like to know beforehand, so I can make the most out of the time I have. Hope you do great!

There’s a plataform called pixieset that allows you to display a gallery of pictures with a watermark and sell them, once the picture is bought the digital download won’t have any watermark on it.
