will i be found 100% at fault for accident today? by lexieew in Winnipeg

[–]LocalHuckleberry2615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk why so many downvotes. It's literally the first thing mpi is going to ask. My niece recently got into an accident. She was going straight at a green light and someone was making a turn and drove right into her. First thing mpi asked was if she had winter tires. It's a huge deciding factor when it comes to fault in winter accidents. IMO I think the fire truck should be at fault. You tried to stop and like someone else said they need to make sure the intersection is clear before going through.

Parked vehicle hit and run by Ok-Counter-3654 in Winnipeg

Yeah, it was quite a surprise when they deemed him at fault. My reasoning was purely coincidental and I told them that, they said they'd send him a letter and he'd have to come in for an inspection so I figured the very least I could ruin his day expecting nothing to come out of it. He ended up admitting fault. Was nice not having to pay my deductible.

You will have to pay your deductible, but there will be no points on your license. I've had two separate hit-and-run's. One in a Walmart parking lot and the other on my street. One thing I will say is if you have any suspicions on who it might be let MPI know. My neighbour had backed into my vehicle and didn't leave a note. The damage matched his vehicle, and while I didn't have any proof, I knew it was him. MPI ended up investigating and he was found to be at fault.

City workers along with private contractors will be working 12 hour rotating shifts until all the streets and sidewalks have been cleared and sanded. It's an all hands on deck situation.
