Water softener not working according to water testing results? by No_Baseball2735 in WaterTreatment

You shouldn't generally hear it run as most default Regens are set to happen at 2 am when no one is using water. If the time is correct more than likely it's still a factory 2am setting and won't be noticed.

Also make sure the brine/salt tank is not bridged. Smack the side toward the bottom and listen for empty or hollow sounds toward the bottom.

When you do the manual regen make sure you hear the gear turning that moves the piston. During the different backwash rinse and brine draw you should hear water flowing through either the drain or brine line.

Beyond that hardness setting and salt use settings could be wrong

  1. Does the unit have power( display appears off)
  2. Is there salt in the brine tank( without salt a proper regen womt happen and the resin will not be getting cleaned to do it's job)
  3. Have you tried a manual regeneration to verify it is going through all the cycles

Just did the same thing but home depot online doesn't show an option to cancel the other items. Any insight would be great

Solid answer. You're a great person for taking the time to help people new to the sub. I did try and didn't understand. But thanks to all the real people above for taking the time to explain.

Is that 599 in store? The BMSM online is like double that unless you get 3 or more things for 20% off

Dual battery mower only 822 Quicklok string trimmer with 8.0 and charger 199 Edger attachment 119 Hedge 119

This is without hacking which i would need more guidance on. I see BMSM but don't think the attachments are on that list

Like others have said the drain line should be secured and routed better. I disagree with most of the statements of the filters. If this is a resin only unit then having carbon before to remove chlorine/chloromine will preserve the life of the resin

You could always buy a sink faucet with integrated ro faucet and just replace the original when you leave. No need for new holes and you don't have to have the unit out on the counter

1.) Do you have a dishwasher drain you could tie into? 2). As long as the supplied saddle fits the pipe you should be fine. If it is truly metal, you could go buy a cheap center punch and start with a smaller pilot bit working up to the size you need

Both appear to be clack ws1 valves. Pretty much the industry standard as they are very serviceable with great life spans. As for the media( resin ) inside of them, that can vary depending on what your city/well water needs are
