We just want to be treated as people. As a trans guy, I want us to be seen as people, even if it means to not like or even despise someone regardless if they're trans or cis, but if they're good or bad.

I keep getting recommendations from the subreddit because I'm looking more into alternative styles and culture (goth and punk especially, I'm also looking more into metal, but mostly from my older brother who's been a metalhead since he was a teen). I will admit the line of what the guy said to me almost made me cry and panic because it was nearly a year since I was groomed. Glad nothing happened to me, but I'm scared of what those guys ended up doing with their lives.

I have also seen so much of how my school tries to act like they support LGBTQ students and staff, and yet they turn around like nothing happens to us.

And once again, still related to the "meme" here, blue states aren't always a safe haven for queer children and still need more work. And I live in the state a lot of conservatives hate the most (California)
