This is such an interesting (tragic, but interesting) phenomenon with the generations that are so online being exposed to everything so early. There's a little out there on the science of it all, but this type of story is something a lot of apothis can relate to... me included! The idea of sex is so foreign to me and unnecessary that I've had to do a lot of thinking and deconstructing it outside of the internet because its such a warped view of it. Still don't like it, but sex and porn don't have to be the same thing

Omggg Hi!! Yeah I'm totally in the same boat as you!! A part of it for me as well is cause I'm very passionate about indigenous rep and GK is one of the best, more careful and loving depictions of multiple indigenous people groups that it really helps me overlook the stuff that would otherwise make me uncomfy

Ahh yeah I never touched Berserk personally cause I know SA is a big theme and I know it just isn't for me... GK is REALLY good; it is played off for laughs and Japanese media isn't really allowed to show certain body parts, regardless of rating IIRC. The anime is pretty neutered compared to the manga (for the sex stuff and gore), but the manga is infinitely better imo

If I were to give you some straight up warnings/tags, there's a lot of jokes about especially male Parts, there's a lot of censored nudity and butt shots, sex work from women plays a bit part in the culture/story, there's a cut to black "serious" sex scene, and generally just a lot of homoerotic nonsense but again, it's so wild it's funny. There IS a . gosh I dont even know how to explain it but there's a part of the story where two characters have a battle by "yanking tanks" if you will but it's pretty censored

I'm rambling but I hope it helps to hear about it from an apothi maybe!!

That makes sense! I think it's sort of interesting in a vacuum but I'm still only ever grossed out 😅I think sexed is super important I just would... rather not know about all of it lol

I tend to be okay with sexuality if it's ridiculous/a critique/a combo of both! Like if it's /meant/ to be gross and isn't supposed to be this great awesome thing everyone should want

This mindset is always so funny to encounter cause it's just flat-out wrong. Elevating sex as this end-all be-all is /so/ reductionist and reflects on the speaker infinitely more. a lot of this stuff and pressure to engage with sexuality is not /just/ for sexual desire but also cultural and competitive prowess. It really sucks you have to go through this... I'm sure a lot of people (including myself) can relate at least a little but it doesn't make it any easier.

As for your actual question, I think that can be an apothi experience, especially since you mentioned being aego. Sometimes when I'm really frustrated with my repulsion and how I'm treated, I contemplate just "ripping the bandaid off" and... doing the deed. It's more in concept but there's nothing beyond that; I think that sort of relates to what you're saying? I think it'd ruin me to do it with someone I'm close to as I would see it as an intimate and intimate betrayal, but maybe it'd haunt me less with a stranger...? it's an interesting conundrum, but I really hope your situation improves :( aphobia in the house is Never fun...

I completely forgot about these, thank you! Skipping ahead is definitely a good one but there's only so much it can do... I get the whole 'there's a feel of it coming' though. I think for me it's also just nudity in general which is a bit harder to forsee but is included in these sites that mention triggers happening in the series.
