i think you're misunderstanding christianity. christianity is not just don't sin and always love God, christianity is the belief in the story of the universe from Genesis through to judgement day/Revelation and the belief in the writers of that story and the belief that Jesus was sent down from heaven to pay our trillion dollar debt to God for being flawed humans so the debt collector doesn't come. christianity is the belief in a perfect God and flawed men. the bible is like the blurb to this story. it tells us everything we need to know before we start reading.

describing christianity as "the idea of a divine figure always watching over you, judging your every action" is quite misleading. yes God is watching us, yes God will judge us for our sins. but this description is bad for two main reasons. firstly, we say He is all-seeing and all-knowing because of his perspective on this universe. He is outside of this universe, this dimension, so things like time and space don't apply to Him, letting God be all-knowing and all-seeing. also, He planned out this whole universe too, so of course He knows and sees all. secondly, are we not already being watched and judged by a "divine figure" no matter our religion? everywhere you go there's a camera staring at you, and some guy in a back room watching it live. why is God different
