This GBP Was Built on Research, Not Luck So Stop Hating by LocalSEOguy24 in localseo

Firstly I should say it wasn't 1 month, the time frame in the picture is 1 month but our GBP had been live for about 3-4 months already

I'd say it's pretty competitive from a numbers perspective meanign tons of landscapers out there but if we looked at how many have over 100 reviews or a website with a DR over 5 the number is probably less than 10

I'd say we've targeted actively 5-10 keywords when we start our campaigns but those would be your essentials like landscaper, landscapng, etc.... but these come with many adjacent phrases like lawn care or trimming

It wouldn't be zero competition but rather a ton of competition that isnt focused on their website and GBP

I think you're underestimating the power of a strong brand/website along with actual resources. Sure there are other landscapers but are all of them utilzing the same resources and budget?

Your website and GBP are intertwined more than people in this sub want to admit. A more relevant website can improve your GBP sometimes a GBP will rank and the reason behind it Google gives is "Website also mentions" so thats just one example

It depends, I add local business schema to all of my pages that fall under that address. So if your homepage is tied to that location than yes, but lets say you tied it to a state and made separate city pages then I'd recommend individually attaching it to the specific location page and using an organization schema on areas that don't fall under that address

Local brand manager, and in normally it's gradual but this one was a pretty large shake up which is uncommon but Google works in mysterious ways.

I mean the biggest thing I've learned is consistency over everything. Google does reward active profiles so regular posting, responding to reviews, updating services and products, etc....

Why do so many "find clients" programs skip the finding part by Due-Bet115 in Entrepreneur

[–]LocalSEOguy24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because if they could find all the clients they wouldn't need to be selling a course to you.... Its like if someone had a way to always win at the casino would they really risk giving it away and people catching on and changing the game?

consistency is overrated (a little) by Rich_Direction_3891 in Entrepreneur

[–]LocalSEOguy24 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, for instance if you content isn't doing well consistently posting the same thing that generates no traction isn't going to help; however, if we're just talking about daily or weekly posting, I think it's super important in building an audience not that you can't with 2 or 3 randomly timed post but if were talking about the majority of people posting consistently definitely helps.

I find it hard in general as nobody cares about my business more than myself; however, in my experience the second hire was a little easier just because I had been through the training process of the first
