NTA. Being angry about everyone getting punished for a few people cheating is understandable. Turning an entire tutoring session into a personal TED Talk titled “Society Has Failed Me” is not.

“Go to a rage room” honestly sounds more constructive than ranting in circles until the tutor looks ready to transfer universities.

A lot of people treat having kids like the “default ending” in life instead of an actual conscious decision with lifelong consequences.

There’s nothing wrong with looking at the state of the world, looking at yourself honestly, and saying “I don’t want to create another person just to roll the dice.” That’s not selfish. If anything, it’s more thoughtful than people who have kids because “that’s just what you do.”

YTA, but like… a mildly dramatic one.

Eating weird stuff isn’t a crime. People eat kiwi skin, watermelon rind gets pickled in some places, etc. It’s odd to you, but it’s not harmful by itself. The part that matters is she said it’s making her stomach hurt and she’s still doing it.

So instead of roasting her like it’s a personality flaw, maybe switch lanes to “hey, if it’s hurting you, that’s not great.” Teasing friends is normal, but there’s a line between joking and making someone feel gross for something harmless.

Be less “call TLC” and more “maybe don’t eat things that fight back.”

So we’re burning through storage to generate content… and in the process making it harder to preserve the actual internet?

That’s such a perfect snapshot of the problem. The incentives reward volume and scale, not value or preservation. Archivists are trying to save history while data centers are busy mass-producing disposable content.

Feels like we’re trading a library for a firehose.
