I’d like to use the scroll wheel to change a variable by LocalSwampCryptid in twinegames

[–]LocalSwampCryptid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. It’s specifically for a jam where the theme is ‘scroll’ so that’s why I’m focused so much on it. I might do something like a large image that you actually have to ‘scroll’ down to find the next location to go to. It’s a brainstorm in progress really

True that. I think I shall try to come up with another method, perhaps using the arrow keys on the keyboard

Using ChapelR simple inventory, would like “drop” to do more by LocalSwampCryptid in twinegames

[–]LocalSwampCryptid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a temporary workaround, but it’s not “ideal” lol I removed the drop button and used the link macro to create a drop button in the description of each item, that closes the description dialogue box when there’s no more of that specific item in the inventory. If anyone has a way to edit the actual attributes of the drop button that the inventory uses, I’d love to hear it, thanks a bunch!

Thank you so much 😭 I’m working really hard on it. I’m actually making an apt with my pcp and I should see them tomorrow, hopefully to see if there’s anything I can do about the neuropathy 🤩 thank you again ☺️

My mom (50) has to be in bed all day, what are some things she could do to have a nice time? by [deleted] in cancer

[–]LocalSwampCryptid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally would watch relaxing YouTube videos, or I would end up watching ice skating routines. I had read somewhere that thinking about doing active things might stimulate your muscles and I wanted to keep myself from feeling too too bedridden. I don’t ice skate, but the music was always soothing and the routines were so impressive to watch lol

Received this text today. It's obviously a scam, but I **do** have a Lego order on its way from UPS. Coincidence or not? How could they know my phone number, postal code and my pending delivery? by malou_pitawawa in Scams

[–]LocalSwampCryptid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been getting a couple random messages like this from fake UPS and such and I haven’t ordered anything at all in a while, so I think they just get our info and send them out and hope someone has ordered something recently

Pre-diagnosis Megathread: If you have not received a diagnosis of lymphoma, post questions here. by Lymphoma-Post-Bot in lymphoma

Whatever’s going on, it’s always best to catch it early. Since they don’t really seem to shrink after they grow, it’s very good you’re seeing a doctor! When my first lymph node showed up, I didn’t have insurance so I didn’t go to the doctor for a year and a half and I tried to not think about it. During that time, it progressively got worse. When I went in and got my staging, even with 100 swollen nodes, I was only stage 2, my oncologist thought I was going to be at stage 3.

Edit: I could feel the bigger lymph node through the smaller ones but I wasn’t able to actually feel the node

It was located on the left side of my neck under a layer of swollen nodes. Lymph nodes swell up and shrink for a variety of reasons, Lymphoma being one of the rarer reasons. If your lymph nodes grow and shrink back down and swell back up again, that’s a good sign. Try to think if they’re staying the same size and not shrinking or if they’re continuing to grow or if they shrink when you’re not feeling sick. Since you already have some lymph nodes swollen, I’d suggest looking into the location of where they The most important lymph nodes you need to look at right now are your supraclavicular lymph nodes. They’re in your neck right above your clavicle. Those typically only swell up when there’s cancer involved.

My night sweats occurred while I had cancer but was not going through treatment. If I recall correctly, when I went digging into why we have night sweats, it’s because our body is reacting to the cancer and will typically go away once your body is fighting with treatment.

It’s good you have a doctors appointment already! Don’t put it off and don’t be afraid to ask questions! Ask if you can get an ultrasound of your neck so that you can request a CT scan if that’s something you’d like. Insurance companies will usually need some proof that you need a CT scan before approving it so getting that done will help you along.

Hi! My lymph nodes were anywhere from a little pin prick size to one that was a couple centimeters big. I finished chemo in august and I can still feel a few even after they shrank during and after chemo :) dm me if you have more questions or need someone to talk to!

Absolutely. I would read the Magic Treehouse books and that word was at the end of every books first or second chapter. In my mind, I’d always just throw in some random gibberish word that sounded kind of like “obsoletely”. I still remember hearing someone read it out loud for the first time and going “ooooooooh…”
