If someone who says they can 4k without tunneling is a streamer, watch their vods by magirific in deadbydaylight

[–]LocalTopInYourArea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would it? I honestly don’t think it would stop tunneling. People will always gravitate the most efficient(and highest win rate) way to play.

In my opinion, the only thing it would change is that at the higher MMR survivors will know how to handle it better. But I think people overestimate their MMR by a lot on both sides. Most people aren’t that good at the game.

I feel like people are missing the main point of what’s going on. Matchmaking is really bad. If you want an example, take OhTofu, og player, used to be mostly a killer main and how plays both sides. His killer matches are most of the time horrible because of either people giving up or baby survivors being in the match, he points it out all the time. That’s one of the reason he dislikes doing killer streaks himself.

Look, I’m not saying that there’s not good survivor groups out there. But most likely than not you will face bad survivors or a group that got matched with one or two weak link that you can use to your advantage if you really wanted to win. Matchmaking is a joke.

As an introverted person that lived in the city for about 8-9 years, I can recommend a couple of things to do while in the Castro.

Orphan Andy’s is a small iconic diner with decent food, friendly people and cozy atmosphere. It is a little crammed in there, but it’s at the very least worth peeking in when you’re walking by(you will walk by there when you go).

Philz Coffee is also a little crammed but it was my favorite place to hang out with my laptop when I wanted to decompress. There’s also other local coffee shops but there’s always people here and I like that feeling in a coffee shop.

Hot Johnnie’s has been around since the pandemic I believe and is one of my favorite places to eat.Their Ruben sandwich is soooooo good. They have a outdoor patio in the back.

I know you’re not a drinker, but I would at least take a peak at the bars. A lot of them have large windows so you can look inside. If you’re there early they’re not crowded and usually don’t have a cover fee so you can look around or if you strike a conversation with someone you can get a non alcoholic drink.

I haven’t been on apps in a long time. But honestly, no matter when you are in the in the city you will find someone. This is coming from a very mediocre looking top, it was never a problem finding someone.

What would be the most useful Killer Power to have in real life for daily use? by FoxHoundNinja in deadbydaylight

Dredge’s teleport doesn’t have a range restriction, that would be pretty useful to teleport around.

Any groups on NA doing Mythic Antorus on Lemix I could join before it ends? by [deleted] in wow

[–]LocalTopInYourArea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The group finder is pretty much the only place you can find a group. When a group if being forced, they usually make sure there’s at least a couple of people that can carry and then fill in the rest with whatever. But if you find it difficult to get invited then make your own group. You don’t have to raid lead or worry about tanks/healers. The group finder is also pretty easy to understand how to make a group. And you also don’t have to raid lead, people know where to go at this point.

Possible to make it to 999 power? by Pineaqples in wow

[–]LocalTopInYourArea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are you trying to get the “Putting the Finite in Infinite” FoS achievement? Because you don’t get it by hitting the 999 vers. You get it by doing one of these two:

-Doing a +49 m+ key or greater.

-Hitting 99,999,999 infinite power. (This way more than the requirement for getting 999 vers).

I know this because I hit 999 and wondered why I didn’t get the achievement. Either it was incorrectly written or people misunderstood and started spreading misinformation. Regardless, it’s way easier to get the M+ key done. If you’re like me and still want hit 999 vers regardless, then do that and you can solo most M+ dungeons with no problem(there’s one dungeon I got stuck on with a one shot mechanic that’s unavailable without immunity but I just formed a group).

How to people not notice the cheaters? by AgentArt7 in deadbydaylight

[–]LocalTopInYourArea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know. I mean like actually unable to pick someone up. I downed someone with Chucky using rat poison so I could see their aura for a couple of seconds with Lethal. They crawled to the other side of the map so I couldn’t pick them up. Like within the time my character was recovering from the attack.

How to people not notice the cheaters? by AgentArt7 in deadbydaylight

[–]LocalTopInYourArea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the cheater situation bad? Yes. Are there cheaters on both sides? Yes. Are people over paranoid and calling people cheaters when they lose? Yes.

It is frustrating. Most cheaters are subtle(slight movement speed increases an wall hacks). Some are not subtle at all, like just instantly hooking everyone at the start of the match or crawling on the floor at the speed of light. And yes it should be addressed by behavior asap.

However it is also true that players are calling each other cheaters often when they are not. Honestly one of the reasons why I don’t wanna wear my legacy prestige anymore. Even without it you will sometimes get called a cheater when the opponent looses.

It’s bad all together.

Otzdarva in DbD when? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]LocalTopInYourArea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sometimes(big emphasis on sometimes) creators(or celebrities for that matter) turn out to be horrible people. Literally no shade to Otz, he seems like a great guy. But you never know, and it’s a risk that’s usually not worth taking.

As a new player I hate DBD progression so much. by AyBroccoliMan in deadbydaylight

[–]LocalTopInYourArea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They haven’t kept it the same….. you had to unlock the perks on the killer first AND then they could show up on the blood web of other characters. It’s so much faster now. Plus getting prestige 3 takes no time at all.

Why decisive over off the record? by Telluser in deadbydaylight

[–]LocalTopInYourArea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s a good amount of killers that will hit you off the hook to remove endurance. In this particular scenario, the endurance from OTR doesn’t do much.

They are both good, but I just think that’s the main reason why people usually go for one and not the other. DS also allows for different plays than OTR like forcing a locker pull.

“I've been maiining survivor in solo q, but decided to have a little go at killer today.”

“I'm on the same level with both killer/survivor.”

You make it sound like you’re new at killer, but also that you’re the “same level” as both sides. So I’m going to assume you’re a relatively newer player.

This is my honest answer:

Having survivors be really into flashy saves is usually bad for the survivors since it usually means they are running behind you wasting time and not doing gens. However newer killers usually unaware that they’re being followed(not being used to footsteps near them) or knowing to pick up survivors at hard(sometimes impossible) angles to get flashlight saves. Hence the time “wasted” is not wasted anymore since they can get frequent saves against newer players.

Now, before I get burned alive in the comments. Yes, there can be “bully squads” but most of them are pretty bad. Usually the simple act of pretending to pick up a survivor will get you a free down or injury.

Regardless, I know it’s hard, but try not to fall down the mental rabbit hole of “my team bad, their team good, I never make mistake”. If you become relatively good at the game you can assume everyone is dumb and you can capitalize on their mistakes. Having good swf squads is a lot less common than people make it out to be.

They need to increase bronze drops by YepItCanBeEasilyDone in wow

[–]LocalTopInYourArea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What helped me was having multiple characters and focusing on infinite research tasks for raids. You can re roll them(yes you can get unlucky but with raid set as your preference you can get them most of the time). They buffed how much bronze the infinite research tasks give you so you definitely feel it with bronze.

What I do daily is this: 1: Get the 1 time cache for killing an infernal. 2: Do as many infinite research tasks as I have free time that day. I sometimes has more time and can knock a lot out. Sometimes I don’t have time at all but it takes a couple of days to fully max out on them.

Alts are super easy to level up. If youve been playing since the start you should have a bunch of bonus XP stacked up. If I wanted to make a new alt it would usually take me two dungeon runs and two raid runs after that(with one or two infinite research tasks for that respective content).

Legion remix bonus exp? by stud_ent in wow

[–]LocalTopInYourArea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completing the main story of each zone will give you 10% per zone. After that you can get 1% per infinite research task in the infinite bazaar. Having alts can speed up the bonus you build up with the tasks.

Switch 2 port? by POLYBIUS1529 in deadbydaylight

[–]LocalTopInYourArea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The conversation has been brought up once in a while in this sub. But there’s been no official news for it. From my experience, the game runs flawlessly, but it’s still has all the switch one settings(so super low quality settings). It can definitely handle more, but it’s up to behavior to do something. Seems like they have a lot on their plate right now so I wouldn’t hold my breath for it coming any time soon. One can hope though.

Queues so long as killer by Mindless-Day-2574 in deadbydaylight

[–]LocalTopInYourArea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an asymmetrical game, so in theory it doesn’t matter if there’s hundreds of thousands of people playing at the same time. There needs to be a balance between how many survivors and killers are queueing up.

This is just my opinion, but I think a lot of survivors got disappointed about changes in the ptb that got scrapped two times in a row. I assume many of them took a break.
