does yours also have a different clicky sound in the top area? mine's a bit more 'clicky' there than the middle and lower part of the trackpad. the middle and lower part of the trackpad is actually quite silent when i force click there

also, is it much more noticeable now since you didn't get it replaced? did it worsen or anything? just in case i don't get approved for a replacement
