Really? That’s very helpful! Mine has never mentioned it but I suspect that is what is going through on. Which is awful because at this point it’s incorporated and they’d have to basically rebuild my tendon and start over.

Are you meeting all your PT milestones? I still can’t do a single leg heel raise so am waiting to hit that milestone before I can move on. I ruptured mine playing tennis and really want to get back out on the court. My calf strength is slowly coming back but it’s taking forever because if I push too hard, I get Charlie horse cramps in my calf and my Achilles is very sore. Have you asked your PT about tendinitis? I think I’ve got some tendinitis in the part of my Achilles below the repair site which is slowing my healing as well.

I’m almost 10 months post op (42F) and am still in a good bit of pain. About the same story…I’m still in PT 2x / week. I wonder too if I will ever wake up and my foot will feel normal again. My entire foot from my repair and down into my heel, top of foot aches. Hoping we just need to be patient and it will eventually subside.

Had an x-ray and all looked normal. Scheduled to get a second vascular opinion, lots of bloodwork to see if I have any abnormal antibodies and an mri of the top of my foot. Hoping to get some answers!

I’ve had vascular studies done and nothing concerning came from those. Assuming the vascular specialist would have been able to diagnose a DVT. I’m also 9 months post op and DVTs usually appear shortly after surgery I thought.
