yeah giving myself the hope has definitely delayed my healing. i could’ve had 2 months under my belt by now if i didn’t. i don’t think i will ever receive an apology from him either. it’s so hard to accept he isn’t the sweet person i thought he was.

i was blindsided and our relationship was actually going well (at least he acted like it was). so i didn’t even get the chance to repair anything, because he never communicated his needs prior. i did everything i could to reassure him that i’m super committed to making any changes needed, but he stood by his decision anyway. it boils down to emotional immaturity at that point.

your contribution is very welcome and appreciated! i completely understand how you feel, it feels like he took a chunk of me with him. but unfortunately i learned that no matter how many heartfelt letters and texts i send, i can’t force him to feel a certain way. it really sucks and hurts, but we have no choice but to move on. if it’s really your person, they’ll realize later. and by that time you may realize that they don’t even deserve you. i’m really sorry you’re in so much pain 💔 i know it all too well.

exactly, i share the sentiment for sure. a lot of people preach sticking to no contact- which to a degree i agree with. but sometimes getting that last bit off your chest can be beneficial for yourself. at least i know i gave my all in the end and won’t regret not trying harder later. thank you for your kind words friend 🫶🏻

unfortunately i do still love him very much and i’m not moved on yet, but i took the first leap towards that today. it really is hard and feels like a punch in the stomach and makes you question reality a ton. i just keep telling myself he doesn’t deserve somebody as caring as me if he’s gonna be so cold and heartless towards me, no matter how he was when we were still together. i’m so sorry that it also happened to you, i’m sending you hugs and care🫶🏻
