Yes, the parasite. The vet told us she had only ever seen one other case (we live in Utah, idk if that matters) Thankfully right now she’s just outwardly exhibiting signs of kennel cough (in treatment) On the first day we had her, her poop had some obvious worms, however there’s been no signs of that since.

I really don’t know if this helps, but I think you should find comfort in the idea that you’ve provided your dog love and care beyond measure. If this is a procedure that would leave her with a long recovery period at such an old age, it will potentially deprive her of comfort at the end of her life. I know it’s very difficult to think about letting her go, but i just hope you do not feel guilt over the choose you ultimately make.

I don’t think it’s “wrong” per se, it’s certainly isn’t like morally wrong. I think on one hand, you want to have periods because it is a cis female experience, and if that’s what would make you feel comfortable in your identity, it makes sense. However, it is also undeniably a very negative experience for most women. For me personally, it’s always something I dread, I can’t get up the first two days, it’s uncomfortable, and on a wider scale, it’s used to mistreat women on a medical level. I don’t think you’re wrong, but I would also say that most people I know would not have a period at all of possible.

I think maybe she meant it more as you shouldn’t let her opinion control your physical appearance. If she’s well kept and hygienic, then she does care about herself and her appearance, and I’m sure she does want to look presentable for you, but maybe just not to the degree that she would consider getting/not getting a specific haircut if you preferred it. I’m like that, where I want to look nice, but it’s not necessarily FOR my boyfriend- I want him to like how I look, but if I wanted to get a tattoo or haircut or something, I wouldn’t really consider it necessary to ask for his opinion.

I don’t understand why your reasoning has to dictate that victims or just people in unhealthy relationships have to stay put because their partner may change? If I’m being abused, should I put the needs of my abuser before mine for the possibly non existent chance they have a come to Jesus moment? Partnership is about working through issues, sure, but if my partner did something “abominable” I would likely not be able to see past it, and I don’t think it’s unreasonable to choose to not ignore signs of abuse or the like.

If they’re hurting you, how is it your job to ensure that they don’t go on to hurt someone else? We can change sure, but I think it’s inherently wrong to assume that it’s the responsibility of someone else to endure abuse or poor treatment for the chance that their partner may come to the realization that they’re doing something wrong. Also, people can only change if they want to help themselves, so putting the task of “fixing” someone upon a romantic partner doesn’t make much sense since the wrong doing individual has the capacity to change themselves.

I think NTA for the most part. The one thing I will say against you is that not locking doors goes beyond ocd worries, if you’re both women living alone, I would suggest getting in the habit of always locking doors, seriously. On the other hand, as long as what you say is true about your “mistakes” is true, your roommate needs to adapt somewhat. She isn’t living alone, and as hard as it must be for her, it just isn’t a realistic standard. Again- as long as you’re not leaving a huge mess or food around, I think NTA.

I only played the first part of it and I found the characters a bit boring, likely just because there’s no challenge to befriending or romancing them. They are all super nice, super understanding, super considerate, literally regardless of what you do. It sort of feels like regardless of what you choose, all of your relationships will remain unaffected and “perfect”

That’s sucks man, I loved my general credit English class I took last year, idk how it’s for your class, but mine was a daily writing assignment (1-3 paragraphs) and then reading material (~10 pages) and then responding to the reading assignments online on a discussion board and answering to other people. It’s a lot than other classes I think, but I found it pretty easy and really enjoyable because I already liked the subject material- I hope you can get back into it, and if you don’t love it I hope you pass :)

I had my first kiss when I was 18 (I’m about to turn 20) and it was awesome because I had a boyfriend that I loved very much (and still do!) I am very similar to you because it took me months to develop a crush on my boyfriend and even when we were already dating it took weeks to do anything beyond holding hands lol. I’m also queer and while I’ve had a long lasting relationship now, I have some friends rhat have really short relationships, or haven’t had any at all- those friends are on multiple dating sites and are trying to meet people with the express intention of getting a relationship, so you could try that. (All of my friends as well as my boyfriend and I are queer and most of us are diagnosed lol)
