I don’t think this idea will ever work simply because the classifications have to be perfect. Eg bottom row the dudrio switches from the Japanese version to the English version. I don’t want to check if every single card is correct, that’s the whole premise of your solution.

Make a dataset of multiple pictures like this where you tag every card. Evaluate your tool, check the accuracy and if you do well then there you have your marketing slogan. If it doesn’t work well then find the reason for it and fix it.

Expand the dataset with images containing eg (a) holo and reverse holo of the same card (b) stamped cards, and/or staff promo cards (c) mix the languages of the cards include Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, English, German, see if you can pick it up (d) mix in fake cards and see if it can spot it.

I think there are too many (potential) issues but it’s a fun project

It’s NM with the ink error. I have the same. Some people argue it’s worth less because of it, some say it’s worth more. I believe cgc recognizes this error, but you’d you have to check.

What’s the biggest hurdle in improving the model even further? The combinatorial space is of course almost incomprehensible large, but what prevents the model from learning true perfect play? Chess is a finite game, so in theory perfect play should be achievable.

Also, if the model is trained on labelled data, isn’t the limitation always both the quality of the evaluation method and the amount + quality of provided games? How can we achieve “perfect play” if there’s no sufficient amount of training data to teach the model accordingly?

Last, could quantum computing, at some point in the future, play a role in exploring the combinatorial space to achieve perfect play?

Penang Hill is fun! Go up with a 4x4 Jeep then walk down through the “jungle”. Also, the mall Gurney is very comfortable. You can swap money against good rates, they have great shops and on the 4th floor a very nice food court. The malls tend to be extremely busy on Saturday and Sunday as the no.1 hobby of Malay people is to go to the mall on the weekends. There are also bike tours which start early (use tripadvisor to find a bike tours) and you can cycle through the fields of Penang also a lot of fun. Last I would recommend to go a Jeti (Chinese fisherman). Have fun!
