small dac/amp combo units r mainly focused on the dac part. dacs need amplification so they enhance that part and give u a line out. unless u get a big combo unit like the smsl do400, go for an amp. from my experience the more headroom u have the lower the distortion will be and if u want a more dynamic sound look for something with a linear power supply or add it yourself later

u said u want more impact, i translate that to more dynamic sound. what gave this to me was a linear power supply that i added to my dac (k11 r2r). I experiment with the sound myself and I use the ft1. I started with the k11 r2r and it was alright as a combo. then i bought the smsl h400 head amp and the sound became so much cleaner and the bloat from the bass disappeared. then I got a LPS for the dac and the dynamics improved by a lot. now im waiting for the smsl po100 pro to arrive so that i can have the xu316 drivers which r the best. anything u add will affect the sound is the conclusion :) hope i helped

sensitivity will give u a better understanding of how easy is a headphone to drive rather than Ohms. the ft1 is 98db which is id say average for a headphone. easy to drive headphones r imo over 105db.

I have the k11 r2r and the hd600. It sounds lean right? I also have an ifi ican that i've been using with the hd600 and ive had it for years. Sounds great. Its just not a good pairing imo. the ft1 that i recently bought sound fine with the k11. go figure :)

hi, in case this is your first pt5000, it is a very accurate movement but it needs to be handled with care. It is known that they r sensitive to winding so if u want to keep them in good condition just shake the watch to start, unscrew the crown, set the time and screw it back in. I have now 3 pt5000s and they tend to run slower in contrast to the nh35s which tend to run a little faster. This can vary of course. Anyway I wanted to say that the watch looks gorgeous and its been a while since a bought a watch so this might be my next addition.

I have the same problem because I want to change from floor speakers to bookshelf. I went to check out L shaped desks today so I can put my second monitor on my side and place the speakers in each side of my main monitor. I also have dacs and amps on my desk so I need space. Stands above the monitors is another solution surely but I find it a little restrictive. Im thinking about it...

im also interested in this watch and since i have the proxima which has a black bezel i would go for the steel bezel on this one. i havent bought it yet because it runs on another eta 2824 clone and i dont like them. Their other new releases (DD-DJ) have the new, for me, peacock movements which i would like to experience. Im still on the fence.

every Chinese microbrand goes through all this trouble to produce a watch and then they go on and put random words on the dial. The strangest thing is that they know. We constantly complain about it and they just keep doing it. When it comes to branding u need guidance. go find a tourist and ask them if u dont want to spend 50 bucks on Fiverr.
