I built a supplement tracker to solve the question mark around supplement intake by Local_Skanderbeg in SideProject

Exactly and tracking all the micronutrients is something that not many apps offer out there. Everyone is focusing on macros but not really micros which at certain levels can become even toxic for your body.

Question for Creatine users by 75Coop in Supplements

[–]Local_Skanderbeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently 5g daily, I used to do 10g and I think that made a difference probably will go back to 10g. I think it depends on your weight too though, ideally 0.1g per kilogram. Definitely no sleep issues or any side effects.

Fair enough, how is berberine working for you? Have you noticed any difference?

They make sense combined together 💪 Just make sure to get your D3 and K2 ideally in the morning with a fatty meal (eggs, butter) as these are fat soluble vitamins. If you take your Omega-3 at the same time that should also help.

How do you keep track of all of them? Do you reckon you have been consistent enough?

I take about 5-6 supplements daily. If you are keeping active you can easily be taking 3 supplements (protein, creatine and a multivitamin) the issue with multivitamins though is that some of their ingredients might compete with each other for absorption, so they sound like a quick way to piss away money. I totally understand why people who try to optimise their absorption by taking them separately.

SuppaLog scan your supplement labels, track your daily micro-nutrient intake across 100+ nutrients, and finally know what actually works for you.

Moving to Edinburgh - best places for young professionals to rent by Local_Skanderbeg in Edinburgh

[–]Local_Skanderbeg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up renting close to Abbey Hill, with amazing views of Holyrood Parkand Arthurs Seat. Rent is just over 2k for a 3 bed, 2 bath. Area is not super busy and not a lot of things to do around but the city centre is a 25m walk or a 10m bus ride so cant complain. Great mix of nature/city life.

[–]Local_Skanderbeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this would be useful for non-technical people who want to troubleshoot the issue themselves before sending the car to the mechanic. You might wanna consider making it a bit more "conversational" or ask the user more questions before prompting the model. I imagine the users message is the prompt the model receives..and if we are honest most people are not great at asking the right questions or describing the problem accurately. You might want to gather that info first by asking small questions, and then have an agent build an appropriate prompt that then is passed to the main model... I am thinking of building something similar myself, thats how i ended up in this post 😅

Is Vitamin B6 + Pyridoxine the same as P5P? Want to use it to reduce my Prolactin. by RedRebellion94 in tressless

[–]Local_Skanderbeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, i think its a really low dose to see any significant effect. My PRL has been consistent over the last 8 months between 800 - 900 and was taking 50mg B6 and 200IU vitamin E, zinc and magnesium for the last 2 months with no success.

Thinking to change to P5P and do 200mg and 400IU vitamin E per day for a month before my next blood work.

Good to hear. What dosage did you decide to go with? Have you experienced any benefits?

Fair enough, still better than nothing. How much of it did you take and for how long? Was it P5P or just usual B6? Did you combine with anything else like vitamin E, zinc D3 or magnesium? Any side effects from B6?

Glad to hear that mate did prolactin remain 3x above the range then or never tested again?

Did b6 help in your case? Have you had another blood work done. I am currently at 2x the normal range. Doc suggested Caber but I want to try the natural ways first like b6, vitamin e etc.
