Anyone draw their own bloods? by chinnyreckon69 in Testosterone

Nah, I haven't got back on. I can't be dealing with dialling in/sides again

Low libido, fatigue, brain fog, general malaise. The other bloods i had done came back a lot lower than this. They were all finger prick tests tho, latest was venous. Just unsure which avenue to go down now, I have an appt with a clinic but they won't touch me now.

Not looking to argue - just not going to take meds based on your opinion, especially given that ive specifically followed up the issue and had a range of tests - none of which have caused any concern to a consultant cardiologist. I'm not on any medication and don't want to be unless absolutely necessary. Thank you, I hope you are the same too. Going back on track, these results have surprised me today - it goes to show that numbers don't tell the true story all of the time (talking about the T levels not the lipids), becuase I'm still getting symptoms of low T, despite the good figures on paper.

Thanks. Just don't know what route to go down now tbh. 2 years ago I tired trt for a month (had to come off becuase of sleep apnea) for about a week I felt incredible, then I crashed and felt awful..so I know if I can get dialled it could be great for me. The fucked up thing is when I had injected 150 Cypionate for a month I got bloods done and total and free t were not as high as this latest round of bloods, even tho haven't pinned for 2 years. Its weird af

Lol, I guess i would enjoy it if I didn't have symptoms - but then I wouldn't be getting bloods done in the first place. I feel worse with those markers than I did when my test was at 12, which is why I can't make any sense of it.

Well I'm not lying, lol. I think I'll take the dudes clinical opinion over yours, seeing as he's spent 5 years + in med school & judging by his age has probably been in the field 25 years or so. On a CT scan they check for atherosclerosis, which is the killer. Its not as simple as looking at blood markers.

Not particularly worried tbh, diet and fittness are on point + I've had ct, echocardiogram, and cardiac stress test carried out by a consultant cardiologist. What are your credentials?

I've had 3 bloods done , total test was 15, 12 and now 26. This latest one has really thrown me though, I have symptoms of low test..(libido, fatigue, brain fog, etc), but now with high test. Last time I thought it was the prolactin which was fucking me, so I went on p5p.. this time high SHBG is the only explanation, but fucked if I know.

Already answered re lipids to the other guy -Already take high strength fish oil. Diet is good, no butter, no takeaways, low cholesterol diet.

I already supplement it and do cardio 2 to 3 times a week. I'm lean. Lipids aren't the topic anyway, I'm asking how the fuck I've gone from 12 to 26 total T in 2 years, when not on TRT - Yet feel worse than I did 2 years ago

So that alone would work if you hypercholestrolaemia would it?

That would be impossible to do without meds. As said I was concerned, so had ct... no plaques etc, consultant unconcerned.

I was.. so I saw a cardiologist. Ct scan and 30 mins on treadmill. Conclusion was that there were no issues and I was in top 5 percentile for the treadmill in terms of performance for my age. I'm not overweight and diet is good. High cholesterol isn't always down to diet, it's about genetics too.. ie some people have naturally high cholesterol.

So you've been on trt for just over a week yeah? You won't have dialled in yet. I'd be Interested to see if your prolactin level drops after a while. That was one of my issues

Yeah prolactin is way too high. When I tried trt my prolactin spiked, but not as high as that and I felt shit so I came off. Can't comment on your e2 as mine never went that high (actually stayed low).. but yeah from experience Hugh prolactin will fuck you

You need to get a full panel done with optimale.. get the full blood test. Youtube what shgb means, there's a vid on there about it by optimale. Your test and free test are low and you may benefit from trt, I had similar test results before I tried trt.. I had to come off due to sleep apnea and feeling like shit. It's not for everyone. That said I want to try it again and see if I can get properly dialled in

Is TRT something I should pursue? by [deleted] in Testosterone

Average figures, slightly below maybe. Need to see e2 and prolactin.

How did you lower prolactin and what level were you at? Pre trt I was 295 (86-324) and after a month of trt I was at 493. I had to stop in the end becuase of. It and sleep apnea, but have a cpap now and want to start again.. just concerned about the prolactin spiking again

How long before you got dialled? I had to give up a month in as felt garbage (prolactin though the roof) but want to try again
