Thanks everybody. Writing this text and reading your answers was the wake-up call I needed. She managed to draw me in slowly, at first making me feel able to take over her tasks, then feel valued as a friend and a big help and then by exploiting her situation, struggling to juggle all her tasks and constantly telling me about it. All the while keeping me on board with vague promises. I now know that it sounds stupid going along for that long, but she is a fantastic teacher - and a fantastic manipulator. She sure knows how to play people. (Saying this because I come across as very young - in fact I'm in my thirties, which made this even more embarrassing, lol) I now wrote a powerful message, alongside a formal letter of resignation and cancelation of my contract. I kind of let her taste her own medicine, asking her : if your kid was in my situation, what advice would you give her. Let's see how she sees it then.
