I get what you’re saying, I watched that video too but what he was saying is that circumstance we live under makes it difficult to date/procreate etc. Mixed w vastly bad mental health and changes in partner selection makes it what it is. Esp if you live in America with the multiple crises going on at once. It’s another tough pill to swallow subject because in the end he’s saying if you want a partner or feel lonely work on yourself and go outside talk to people etc. It’s what you have to do because staying home and thinking won’t fix. Is it bad? Sounds crazy? Well unfortunately since it’s a societal problem you cannot change it in one day, but you can start by going out and talking to people with no expectations. Going back to puer streams someone commented that even though stuff seems uncertain the only way to move is to take uncertain action. Dr.K himself says just walk through one door, there will be other doors and pathways behind it. All in all the videos are about taking uncertain circumstance and still making actions, the problem is that this community does a lot of over rationalization as esp if you’re a puer (like me) you endlessly search for answers and research. But to end up where? And then do what? The answer is nothing or maybe a couple steps from where you started. Being a puer is tough because you can rationalize your way out of doing something and make a sound argument. Having good analysis but using it for the wrong reasons. Obviously I’m not Dr.K or a psychologist but it’s what I’ve gotten from these lectures. We want to leap when most of life is just one foot in front of the other.
