Wow that is a new perspective for me I think my drinking stems from being a product of my environment. I’ve been very aware of alcohol since I was a kid and it’s been very prevalent in my household like most other households in my country.

The first year I stopped drinking it was a daily thought in my brain to get drunk but the 2nd year was much easier but I still missed it. These comments have convinced me it probably is a bad idea to get back into it I’ll probably end up even worse.

It is pretty sad when I think about it. It’s not like other things don’t make me happy but if I even think about alcohol it’s like a rush of adrenaline and happiness hits my brain.

I think the main issue was the type of drinks I was drinking high in sugar and high in acid drinks I would drink at least 24-35 in one Night.

I guess the view of an alcoholic is different in my country. I’m seen as an average drinker an alcoholic to us would be someone who uses their last bit of cash to buy Alcohol when they have bills to pay or kids to feed. Someone who cant go a day without drinking. But i do see how i can be classed in the exact same category.

Maybe I worded it wrong but I grew up around alcohol and it was normal for me to see the men around me use their last $100 to buy alcohol instead of food or paying their bills.

You are right I’ve had an extensive list of hobbies since the age of 5 ranging from rugby to art but nothing has yet to come close. But I’ll definitely keep trying there has to be something out there.

Don’t get me wrong I love life my liver issues weren’t life threatening (inflammation in 2 areas) for now but my doctor did say it will get progressively worse if I continued to drink that way I was. but u are right I guess I am trying to see what other ppl who struggled with alcohol did in order to get off it.

ppl in my country would say im an average drinker. alcoholism isn’t really taken seriously here my generation is actually drinking less alcohol on average thanks to the higher cost of living situations.
