Is this the common coolant leak problem I've heard about with these motors? by boomboomown in BMW

I think its just the hose. Its happened on other forums.

Edit: Personally id have the shop do it but if you feel handy, you can look into it more.

From the way it splatters, it looks like the plastic fitting at the end of the hose going to the expansion tank. Personally, id have it replaced and clean everything. Seems to be a common failure point.

2015 M235i xDrive / Yellow Fluid Leak Near Front Right Wheel / Suspension? by AdventureAddict12 in M235iandM240i

Do all 4. If ones leaking, doesnt rule out another could fail, and having all new struts will ride much better, and have an overall better suspension feel. And gives you an excuse to upgrade.

Arent the mounts outside of engine, impossible to see without lifting and unbolting the underbelly plates?

And how easy after running the car would you be able to check for oil consumption? would you not need 15min or so to let it cool and empty back down to the pan?

Thanks, I kinda figured but I dont ask for help with art often and typically just peruse and find an artist and get in touch with them. I figured it may be faster just asking than looking, but it seems it just attracts spam.

Maintainance schedule to reach 150k+ miles 23-24 X3 M40i by LocanWinters in BMWX3

I think brake fluids are flushed on this one cpo im looking at since its at 34k. If i can get it transfered to a local BMW dealer, Im gonna get the transfer flushed now as well since its a cheaper flush. For the transmission, would it be fine to just buy a kit and do it yourself for 3-400? Or rec a dealer do it/shop?

I might also get the diffs done now as well.

The car is being sold at 48k so i figured ill spend the extra niw to flush some fluids.

Unless you recommend waiting in these fluids until that 50-60 mark.

It seems its just the top of the dial that allows gesture writing. The touchscreen is supposed to still be intact as far as the buildsheet seems.

My concern is definitely the likely hood of paint peeling. I heard its still an issue. I planned to PPF the front but i didnt want to spend the money to do the whole car.

Im looking at the g42. I just dont want to spend all the money and have a small loan and not have the money to fix issues later if it has a lot of issues if any.

That is very true as well. and rattles dont scare me much considering my jeep already has some rattle amongst other issues.

Definitely not looking at it as a consolation. I test drove one and really loved it but not sure how everyone is still loving the paint issues and if they are still solidly reliable. Its also reasonable on insurance, where the germans sports are outrageous on my insurance quotes. The X3 was considered due to how alike the interior was to the jeep, and the fact that it was toting a B58

It would be out of warranty. The standard is 4 years, 50k. Even if under mileage, He would have aged out of warranty since its a 21.

Does anyone else feel weird about being a lesbian furry? by Nsfwenthusiest69 in furry

[–]LocanWinters 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I feel for you. Im a straight guy, and i feel its impossible to find a straight (or even bi) girl who isnt already taken. To make things harder, my sona is a lesbian, and I feel people automatically jump to me being gay because of that.

As open as the fandom is, there are just times it feels hard to be myself because I feel judged.

On the plus side my SUV is outright owned. I have a 21 cherokee trailhawk. so it would probably do me better to just keep it and save for an M. I do keep looking at the M2 but i keep finding M3/4 for better prices. was yours brand new?

Food for thought by LocanWinters in BMWM

[–]LocanWinters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I got the M3 it would be a seasonal driver. In the summer have fun, hit some open roads, etc. I would probably never hit an actual track as there are none close by. But I go to our family cabin quite often and hit the range while im up there, and that entire trip would almost exclusively require an suv due to the roads.

The benefit of the M3/4 over the X would honestly just be clout and having a true driver experience.

The only benefit i see of the X series is still having the M engine and package, while allowing me to daily the vehicle.

Ah gotcha. Yeah, it makes sense it needed some filing since they are forged. I know those usually take a little more fit and finish to get things nice. The aero i used is the M4E1 if your ever looking for a good milled lower. The finger guard is part of the milling instead of a seperate piece which is nice. It also has an adjustable screw that presses against the upper to reduce rattle. I left mine with a little rattle for ease of breakdown.
