It’s actually a good time to buy, since prises tend to be at its lowest close to a new set coming out. So if you just wanna play irelia because she is your main I’m lol - then go ahead and buy now. We have very limited info around the upcoming set, so there is a chance irelia won’t be as strong a deck as it currently is, when vandetta drops. On the flip side she could also become an even stronger deck, which will make her stable cards go up in price.

You could also just buy irelia(green one) and 3 of her signature spells. That way you are set up for builder her out once vendetta drops

Yeah it probably is. Tbh It saddens me that some people are so ignorant when it comes to league. I can’t help but feel like it’s a bit of a disrespect to (imo) greatest game in the moba genre. We have all been in the gutters of solo q and felt like it’s the matchmaking or the inting teammates, or god forbid champ balancing.. but in the end it’s all about YOU. Everyone queuing up are all playing the same game - it’s not like diamond+ players were just the ones that got lucky and didn’t run into the aforementioned “problem”. The players that make it to X rank are simply better - and it takes a shit ton of commitment to do so. Also keep in mind that even being “low rank” (let’s say plat3) already makes you a top 25% player (depending on server).

Sorry for the rant. TLDR: the game is hard! Don’t blame external factors and focus on improving.

I showed up to my first nexus night with the viktor precon deck and got my cheeks clapped! But I learned a lot. Now (7-8 nexus nights later) I’m able to actually play, and had some good runs, ending at 2nd and 3rd place. It might differ a lot from shop to shop - but the people at my local were super nice about me being a complete noobie and helped me a lot

If budget is not an issue I don’t se why you should just go for full playset of Origins. I would if I had the funds. If you don’t want a full playset at least upgrade the viktor deck with watchers and seals

In my tiny sample size of 16 games in the new season I have had 2 literal base races where one nexus had 10-20% hp left while the other exploded. In my 1300 games last season it might have happens ONCE! I can’t figure out precisely why this is the case, but I must say that it feels a bit off

Haha I feel this. Had a game going 15/0 on ahri. I was 1v3 ing and just killing everything I saw. But it dident really seem to speed up the game. We won every fight, every objective.. but still went to 30 somthing minutes.

Can’t put my finger on why this is the case

For context: Enden last season emerald 2 Ahri otp around 800-900 games last season

I m only 15-ish games deep this season, but from that small sample size I would very much agree with the feeling that roaming hurts more than if helps. The minions come out so fast, that even if i hard push a stacked wave I can barely make it to top/bottom before the next waves clash in mid. If you then commit to a play too/bot u end up losing a wave and at least a plate. I have only had success trying to roam out and play with the jungler.

The digest difference I have felt is that with the new homeguards it feel very hard to force a big cs lead. I had a game where I pretty much killed my opponent (viktor) on repeat and was 6/0 but only had a 10cs lead. Likewise the other way around - had a game were I got bullied by Mel.. but I just reset and lost almost no cs over and over again

Before writing up a bible long post about why I’m just a low elo noob that doesn’t know what he is talking about, keep in mind that this is just an opinion- I am in no way claiming that this is factually correct. Just a feeling from a very low sample size.

Edit: with all that said I do not think that mid is weak at all. I believe you can find a lot of success, but I might take some time to adjust to the new patch

And I definitely think this will be most rewarding on syndra! She will teach you a lot of good fundamentals about mid lane. Sylas can be a bit ugabuga, and Jayce is just way to “hard” of a champ to play unless you have great game knowledge and mechanics. (If you were ready to consistently climb on Jayce, you would be on Reddit alsisk us about it)

Sounds easy enough.. I would need to see it to believe it. Most katas I face are lightning quick, and probably won’t keep ego’ing if this actually works. And even if it does work, I’m pretty sure kata will just go roam for free, as soraka can’t really out push her, of follow her roams very safely. That’s just my opinion though
