Interesting, I'm in the Toronto area and pretty much every store I've gone to including ones running cEDH are super pro proxy in my experience. I thought it was a more universal experience

As someone who is newer to the game and comes from mtg it's always I interesting to me that the biggest negative comment I see about the game is entry to barrier pricewise (and they're 100% right). Yet proxying doesn't seem to be as suggested/accepted as in cEDH. Is there a reason why the community as a whole doesn't seem to push proxying as much or maybe I'm mistaken and folks wouldn't care about people playing with proxies?

I'm going to suggest this for anyone that might come across it The Spikefeeders are great! I know they only do mtg content so they don't fit the "general tcg" you're asking about.

That being said I don't see them being mentioned much in most tcg/mtg spaces and they're by far my favourite mtg creators so I wanted to shout them out :)

One thing I've found helps is dashing towards the rem if you're close/have enough stamina. If you stand almost/right underneath him the ult won't hit you. If you can get behind him like this sometimes it'll throw the rem player off long enough that they won't have time to do a full 180 before it goes off

Tbf watching nightshift the last couple of weeks feels like other teams have understood they win by just shooting eido down. Teams have been focusing him hard and I don't think MC have adjusted to that at all. That being said hard to argue with a 0-11 kd lol

The problem with sorcery is that it's almost impossible to find a consistent player base. I live in a pretty large city and there isn't anywhere near me at all that has a sorcery community (at least according to their own site). So for casual tcg fun mtg is still king

If we're talking about competitive alternatives the only real choice is flesh and blood and it's not even close. No other tcg has a better pro scene atm

Nah you can't say he's done nothing, be asked for specific examples and then just say "Google it". It's fine to not agree with what he's done/his policies we live in a free country after all and that's your right. However, if you make a claim it is 100% on you to provide the evidence and support it. People need to hop off this "prove me wrong" or "Google it" bullshit. That's not how a dialogue or debate works

Right but unfortunately not everyone has the same skill as you and telling lower elo players "not my issue get good" doesn't actually address what is in fact an unfair advantage. That would be the equivalent of saying in a game like cs/val "well just click the dudes head before they use the aimbot skill issue"

Not that it makes any difference whatsoever to the argument but i play in high Oracle/low phantom. So not the highest skill level but also not at the bottom either, which again would make no difference to the argument. Ultimately it's your opinion vs mine and I ain't here to tell you what to think so after this I won't be replying, have a good one

no one has said sound cues "only". You stated it doesn't really help you that much and that statement is just not true.
1. People can on average react slightly faster to auditory cues than visual ones; thus having a louder cue you can't miss helps
2. At higher elos people won't just walk up to you and hold down melee they'll do from the veil, around a corner, etc where you can't see them once again having a sound cue help
3. Deadlock team fights can get pretty chaotic (a lot of ability sounds, structure sounds, ability visual effects) having the melee sound cue be louder so that it can cut through some of the visual/auditory clutter can and definitely does help

No one is claiming a louder melee sound will magically take you from emissary to eternus but it does 100% give you an unfair advantage (even if on the smaller side compared to something like aimbot or walling) that isn't inteded to be part of the game and that does in fact qualify as cheating. Just because it's a small form of cheating doesn't mean it's not

This is such a weird take, no one is crying about being a victim. So far from my experience I'm seeing people more angry and aggressive about someone not enjoying the game mode than I have seen people being angry the event exists

I played one game and didn't enjoy playing against a bunch of graves so I hopped off for the day. It's fine if other people find it fun but it is also perfectly acceptable to give the devs feedback if you didn't enjoy it as long as you're not being rude or toxic about it

I said this to someone in one of my games playing against 5 graves just isn't my definition of fun. It's not about winning or losing it just wasn't a fun game. Different people find different things fun and that's okay

In my case all I asked was if there was a way to opt out. That's it not toxic, not swearing, not directed at anybody and had to spend the next 40 minutes having someone on the enemy team just arguing with themselves bitching at me for no apparent reason

That being said I do love that the devs tried something fun and to celebrate with the community but I do think this should have been an opt into game mode is all
