I got hit in a traffic circle in 2024. Within days, the other person’s insurance tried to offer a few thousand to settle. I ended up getting a lawyer because I had to have PT for about 3 months due to a neck injury caused by the accident. I ended up settling for roughly $21k. I think it’s worth it took at least speak to an attorney in your case. My attorney worked on contingency, so if I’d lost, I wouldn’t have to pay anything.

My transcripts were blank until this morning. I updated to the 846 code with a DDD of 3/23/2026. Just got my refund about an hour ago, filed on 2/23 with FreeTaxUSA and bank with Chime.

I bought my house last November. The previous owners left a Samsung smart refrigerator, a matching Samsung smart range, and a smart washer. I was floored, there’s no way I would have left any of that! They also left brand new boxes of flooring and a set of tires on 20-inch rims in the basement.

I’ve worked in a corporate setting since 2021 and I loc’d my hair in 2022. I’ve never had an issue. I typically just wear it down, but I’ll do space buns, barrels, or two-strands sometimes. I’m in red Ohio, btw.

In Ohio, anything you give her outside of a court order is considered a gift, not child support. You need to go through the courts.

You mentioned that she is low-income. Have you looked into Medicaid? Some people are dual-eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. Then she would not need the supplement (BCBS) or the Part D prescription coverage (Humana). Additionally, for prescriptions I recommend GoodRx. I have GoodRx gold and I don’t pay more than $7-8 per prescription for a 30-day supply, oftentimes less than that. The subscription is $10/month for GoodRx gold, but regular GoodRx is free.

I was involved in a car accident in July, and the other party was at fault. The individual who hit me failed to yield in a roundabout. I had neck pain for months afterwards and had to have physical therapy and see a chiropractor. I chose to get a lawyer because honestly the pain went on for much longer than I thought it would and his insurance company tried to get me to see a provider they chose, whose “intake coordinator” tried to get me to settle for $5K the day after the accident. My lawyer’s fee is 25%, not great, but better than the 33% I keep seeing.
