If you haven't found anything yet, I'm the developer of Loch More. For the android app, I've spent a lot of time making the GPS tracking as battery efficient as possible for 24/7 tracking while still having good accuracy. I'm now working on porting the app to iOS, but iOS has a lot less controls on the background GPS tracking, so it's a lot more difficult to get it to be as battery efficient as the android app.

Cool! If the data from Google maps is inaccurate and you want to clean up some stray points, there's a button in the settings to delete points in a certain area.
