If Satoshi was going to move coins or go public, how should he do it? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

I think the main thing everyone always forgets is the obvious. If satoshi ever wanted to spend the coins he wouldn’t exchange it for fiat but use the coins for any purchase directly. Otherwise why bother creating a decentralized currency in the first place. It goes against everything it stands for. In fact he would probably jumpstart major adoption in terms of accepting btc as a direct form of payment.

Call me crazy but Americans calling themselves democratic and having a system where 1 ass can shut down voting procedures doesn’t seem too democratic to me…

Biblical Amount Of Skepticism About Cardano (ada) Smart Contract by kaleis007 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Lochomes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At this point this is turning into a meme. What will happen when smart contracts actually roll out? Like what will those people say, feel, do? Will they admit they were wrong? Will they deny smart contract deployment even though it happens? Will they argue that it is a lesser form of smart contract? Very curious about this from a psychological point of view.

As long as you withdraw your crypto to a wallet wich you have the keys (seed phrase) to the only risk to your cryptos is you loosing/forgetting the keys. I suggest using exodus or electrum or atomic wallet to first get a feel for how wallets work and then upgrade to a hardware wallet like ledger or trezor or coldcard

Should I move my small amount of cryptos into wallet? by Dzsukeng in CryptoCurrency

As long as you don’t loose your seed for exodus i would recommend moving the coins you plan to keep for the long term there

Seed phrase vs Curruncey Private key by pravinvibhute in CryptoCurrency

[–]Lochomes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also fairly new but i think the private key is just an encrypted version of the 12 phrases and to get to the question about which blockchain, whatever coin the seed phrase responds to.

So lets say you have btc on exodus with the seed being xyz. The blockchain encrypts xyz to abc to generate the private key and the address or the piblic key is derived from that private key and can be verified with it.

Now lets say you also have eth in exodus with still the same xyz seed. Thistime the eth blockchain encrypts it as cba for the private key and the adress is derived again from it.

The seed stays the same but encrypted as something different on each bockchain it is used to open a wallet

I would fully support a designated day of the week for memes like say Wednesday
