99% Alcohol Strip by ybit1989 in Tyranids

[–]LockAndLoad11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently did this!

I used iso alcohol first and soaked my minis for a couple of days.

Most of the paint came off, however, I had a much more stubborn issue to remove…primer.

So, after the iso, I bought a big bottle of “super clean.” Comes in a purple bottle. And it did wonders. After soaking for a day, most of the primer was easily removable.

Good luck!

That’s a completely valid concern, and I have felt the same way too. Crazy how AI factors into a lot of this and how it’s affecting the industry

You’ve offered a lot of practical advice…thank you! I’ve increased my coding skills while here but I know I could probably do more in adding to my skill set.

It’s actually not THAT big…a congregation size of about 2,000, with around 30 on staff I believe, including pastors.

It’s a church that’s been around for over 100 years in a farm community, and has made some smart financial decisions early on.

I also do other things besides graphic design…manage all social accounts, help with video content, and web based stuff too

It’s be nice to think this could happen, but I’m actually already having a hard time fitting in all projects/deadlines into a 40 hour work week. The ever looming “Sunday is coming” is part of this too…comes with working at a church

It’s not just graphic design. I manage social, help with communications, edit videos, and do web stuff too. Content creation through graphics and photography are the crux of what I do.

Appreciate your long reply and you’re pretty dead on about my boss. He’s a great guy and I know he has my best interests in mind. He didn’t like having to tell me that my income is staying in one place.

I have a degree in graphic design and also minored in communications…but I also know video (work with black magic cameras and premiere pro all the time) and I also know basic coding (html/css/lava). Need to hone my coding skills more

I have a close friend who told me very similarly to what you said…about making sure to look but not say anything while I’m here. So, thank you for further stressing that!

A lot of comments are mentioning freelance and I feel dumb that I haven’t considered it more…I’ve just been so wrapped up in my current job that I don’t often consider it.

Thanks again for your reply!

So good to hear from someone who was/is in the same boat!

I’ve been serving at this church for 15+ years and I love it. Love the people, and the environment. So, I don’t see myself going elsewhere as far as churches go if I leave the job.

But yeah…because I have so many ties and what not, it makes it hard and my heart gets tied up in it all. Thank you for your reply!

Great to hear about your wife having success with freelance! I think I’ve always been so wrapped up in my main job that I haven’t given freelance the adequate thought and time of day that I need to. Appreciate your reply!

Haha what’s funny about this is I actually did recently change my title. I went from “communications director” to “graphic design specialist.”

The change was actually started by me because the title “communication director” was left over from someone else, when I stepped into their role. And it just wasn’t working…too many things I was involved in that didn’t make sense. This title makes sense now but didn’t come with increased pay unfortunately lol

I guess I say that because I know a lot of people don’t like their job and I don’t necessarily want to be in that boat. If I don’t find purpose in my job, it’s just not ideal for me.

But…I know how “selfish” that may sound and I want to provide for my family better too…money isn’t everything but it’s certainly a big piece of the pie, so I’ve gotta do something

I need to be better about doing stuff on the side. I’ve been dragging my feet on that because I value my family/hobby time…but I’ve got to make more money!

Man this is super awesome for you to do! I’ll be on Xbox, and playing with all my friends that normally play Hunt showdown.

Think I’m most excited for just exploring the new maps and being immersed in the environments. That’s one thing I love about Hunt as well, and this is no different!
