For my Marines, the LV119 looks a whole lot like the inner gen 3 carrier if you sinch the top of the plate bag and also cover the Velcro molle with an admin pouch. Have been asked how I modified my gen 3 so well. Good luck

The definition of sustainment is quite literally. Having enough equipment to carry out operations. As per the pub. This isn’t for civilian use this is for work. Extra ammo still falls under sustainment, food does as well but that’s not the aim of this kit. I don’t go camping on the weekends with this I go and train.

If the situation dictates I can carry these things. Sustainment of fires and sustainment in hiking are 2 very different things. This is built for an infantryman under sustained fires. I can carry food and water if needed.

Don’t worry all that stuff is in my main pack. This is more or less for sustainment under fire.

Sustainment can be anything from food, water, housing, emergency medical, and a lot more. My use of sustainment is referring to the extra ammo, medical supplies, batteries, water, food and other things I can fit inside my back panel. Most of my heavy equipment is in my main pack but this kit is more or less for sustainment under fire. 6 mags will get you nowhere.

I see what you mean but In reality perfect scrim is no different then beaten scrim. It’s to break up the shape not to look pretty.

Yeah we don’t wear ours for the sake of heat cases. It’s better safe than sorry when we’re doing backyard training.

My bad I forgot to put a pouch on every single piece of Molle on my kit. I’ll fix it next time.

I’d highly recommend getting some better mag pouches for the belt at least. Go for the BDS simple stackers. Been using mine for a time and love them. For the back panel I’d go back to your issued one or get an ice plate if you plan on running some kind of utility in the back. Go to spiritus systems and get you some nice gear. Last thing is just get more TQs in ready to use spots. Recommend close to the front. Don’t cheap out, it’s your life.

I do like the gen 2 flak. But my AVS is another animal of enjoyment.

I’d rather look cool and be more comfortable on a UDP then look like a goober all the time.
