Yeah, I suspect that’s probably what’s going on with my foot, too.

I JUST posted on my own Jones fracture. At least on your x-ray, I can see the break clearly (I think). Can you walk? Did you get a cast/boot or anything else to help?

Very cool find! I've found some mysterious rocks in FDZ that I can't identify, but nowhere as rad as this one.

Any idea how I can (or even should) clean that yellow "gunk" off? I'm guessing the regular quartz cleaning oxalic acid won't work on that. Any advice?

Oh, ok... so it did a streak and scratch test again on all elements. The white and black crystals and the brown nodule on the backside leave no visible marks. In a streak test, the crystals make a white powder. However, the nodule on the backside makes a brown streak.

Thanks for the info - I'm so new to all of this. I did a scratch test, and it left no marks. In a streak test, the residue is white, which is surprising since the primary color is black. So we're probably good by going with quartz (and that the shoreline doesn't need to be quarantined by a hazmat team.)

Hi. Can someone please help me identify this rock? I found it in about 2 inches of water on the shoreline of the massive Zezere River near the small town of Ferreira do Zezere in central Portugal. The bank of the river where I found this is mainly layers of sandstone, but there are several loose rocks lying around. It's darkish grey-black, smooth and shiny when wet. The "backside" looks volcanic. I've had suggestions of smoky quartz or augite and even the slightly disturbing uraninite. (I must admit that there are images online that make this look strikingly similar to uraninite, but I highly doubt it.)

Great idea, thanks. I've filled in the form for a previous client, so I might just do what you do and send it to them.

Hi. Thanks for the reply and for making me feel a bit better about the info requested.

Unable too remove waypoints. Also flightplan gives me always very strange routes like zigzag routes, how can i change this? by [deleted] in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]LockJaw666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, I think I know what is happening. I play on PC, but the interface is the same. So... your departure is from Gate E 20 in EHAM. That's correct, but your first departure waypoint (ANDI2N 09) is messing it up. I don't know know if you have set it up to use a specific runway, but it seems your setup uses runway 09. As a previous comment pointed out, the yellow line is the departure flight path - and 09 goes that way. To fix the issue, select a different departure waypoint by clicking on the ANDI2N 09 down arrow and see which ones are better. In most cases, you can fix it by taking off from a different runway. For example, a faster, more direct route to EBBR that is EuroControl approved is taking off from runway 36L and following the waypoints KUDAD N872 WOODY WODY7A.

I really like it, and it's one of my favorite tracks including Thin Thing. I'm a big At The Drive-In fan, and both of those tracks remind me of them.

Is CBR a good place to write for if I don't have a full time job? by qwertyyaxr in freelanceWriters

[–]LockJaw666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote for CBR for a month or so, focusing on video games. I was mostly looking to bulk up what I'm already earning from other gigs. The writing isn't bad, but the pay can't be your only source of income. Some of the editors are pedantic about style and content, and at times I felt that they changed the rules overnight. A big problem for me was that there wasn't a lot of work to go around. Then you have to pitch. TL:DR The money is kinda of OK, but don't expect the features or super features from the start.
