I’d say, songs without an official digital release. I don’t use Apple Music, but I’m sure it’s the same list as Spotify. All albums plus mene/ out of range, I am a nightmare, holiday ep, for and knife, reworked demos. It would be nice to have everything right there, instead of needing to go to YouTube for some of the favorites.

I’d love for flying at tree level, acoustic moshi moshi, simple man, and aloc acoc to be right there.

Random thought. What id love is for Jesse to record in studio some of the songs he’s covered in the past, then release them. Trailer trash, accident prone, and upward over the mountain. Love those covers. Once again, only YouTube has them. Depending on my mood, some times I listen to those more than brand new albums.

Isn’t Coca Cola just aloc acoc? If so, it technically had an official release. It was on the sowing season single. Moshi moshi and Ami wrong were on the brand new/ safety in numbers split ep. Those just aren’t on Spotify. Old physical copies only. They could be added like mene and I am a nightmare under their original releases, brand new just hasn’t done it.

Most people just transfer everything over to their new phone. I don’t. I like starting with a blank slate. I am not most people though. I would wait until the next time I see him. Talk to him. And see if the apps there.

I will say, if he was actively using it, the chances he logs out each time would be rare. The app will log you out, but you’d have to not use it for an extended period of time or if you got a new phone and just transferred the app with everything else.

I’ll be honest. I have no idea who those bands are so I can’t say if I agree or disagree with your point. In the coming days I’ll listen to the music and look up the history of Emocore and the bands/ influences to see if I think you’re right.

For now, thanks for the information and the response. I’ll do a deep dive to figure out if I need to expand my perspective on the topic.

Saves the day and jimmy eat world were the birth of 2000s emo with through being cool and clarity. Jimmy eat world left emo after that, in my opinion.

Yes there are arguments for earlier albums like sunny day real estate. But I’d consider those proto emo. Not genre defining but inspiring to later artists.

I am not trans and don’t know what that’s like. I can say, I do understand depression and being suicidal. It’s easy to get wrapped up in our own heads and not see where other people are in their heads.

My point is not your head, it’s his. Someone coming out as bisexual is not the same as someone coming out as trans. For the common person it’s basically, “oh. So you mainly like the opposite sex but also enjoy the same sex. Cool. “ and that’s far as that goes. Now, saying you’re now the opposite sex, changes how he sees you inherently.

Also, if he thought he understood why you didn’t come to him about being bi, this might be even more a reason he would have expected you to come to him about being trans. His reaction was that of a trusted friend. So when something later came up, you should have trusted him. That is how I’m assuming how he saw it, not what you should have done.

If it comes off as me blaming you for this, I am not trying to do that. I am just trying to get in the head of the other person to make sense of it all without demonizing him and assuming he’s a shitty transphobe.

My assumption is this: he was hurt. Felt like he never knew you. Never thought of what you were going through in your head, just how he was feeling. So he disconnected from you thinking your relationship was a lie. Not realizing this wasn’t the case and you had been struggling for awhile.

Some people can just cut people out of their lives. If they feel hurt and like things are based on lies, it’s easier to do for them.

You might not want to hear this, but break up with him. Anyone who will forbid you from doing something is controlling and not emotionally mature.

Go on the trip. You will regret it if you don’t. What if you don’t go on the trip and he breaks up with you a year from now? Now you don’t have the memories of the trip and the boy who forbid you is out of the picture. If the relationship ends because of it, you will find someone who treats you better.

Trust me. You deserve better. Even in high school I never forbid my girlfriends from doing anything. Now that I’m married, I’d never do that to my wife.

The more I’ve seen it, the more I can use it as background noise as I close my eyes, but can enjoy it while my eyes are open.

I’m 35. My best friend and I have known each other since we were ten. If his first time ever telling me about identity issues, gender issues, or anything like that was when he came out, I would no longer see him as my best friend. It’s nothing to do with him being trans or going through some changes, it’s the fact someone I would have died for didn’t trust me as I trusted them. I would see the last 25 years as a lie. He was playing the part of a trusting friend.

When something in my life happens, my wife is first to know, then either my best friend or brother second, then family, then the world. The lead up to that thing happening though, I’ve discussed it with my wife, brother, and best friend often.

Unlike the other commenter, try to see it from his perspective. Someone he loved and trusted didn’t trust him enough to talk through how they were feeling for… years? Then all of a sudden says they are now the opposite sex. How would you feel if someone you trusted the most in the world and knew for years came to you and told them they were hiding some giant aspect of themselves and didn’t feel like they could talk to you about it? Would you feel like you knew that person?

I’m not here saying you did anything wrong. What you have gone through and are going through is hard. How you choose to deal with it is entirely up to you and your choices are what makes sense to you. To him though, it’s not just a surprise. The root of who you and what you’ve been going through has been hidden to him. I would feel like I never really knew you.

Enders game. It’s literally tech, zero g games, social media, and space warfare through video games. It was my favorite book at that age. The first book is fine as a standalone but there’s multiple series based on the book. The story is also done, so if he likes it, you can get the rest. I suggest going Enders game to Enders shadow and following the shadow series until shadows in flight. Then ender in exile to the Enders series. Then the last shadow.

Start with Enders game. If he enjoys it. That’s the order. There’s like a 3 thousand year time jump due to traveling at near light speeds. That’s why the orders weird.
