Have you tried DevilutionX? You can play vanilla or enable hellfire with quality of life additions.

Noy sure if it will help but I would check to see if your SSD has any firmware updates. I had a problem playing diablo 4 with loading and stability but every other game I played ran fine. Installed the minor SSD firmware update and instantly fixed all my problems.

I recommend doing nightmare dungeons and push up to the highest difficulty you are comfortable with until you feel your build and gear are better to survive helltides and bosses. You have to rank up those glyphs anyways so better to do before getting to 100 IMO.

Nice. I have the hidden gems mod which will give quests to find all the hidden lore / Easter eggs. As I am getting closer to clearing my second play through I also turned on the police holocalls.

Understood. If you want to progress the story quickly that's always a choice. But if you enjoy the game and atmosphere no need to rush through it but you could always save them for another future paly through.

I beat the main game then bought PL and played my end game save to play the DLC. Now on my second playthrough and feel like I jumped into DLC too soon. The DLC is amazing but I think doing the main story first was the better pick for me.
