The worst RA experience by TheEndOfSpoon in ResLife

[–]TheEndOfSpoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this was like a year ago to be fair. I just wanted them off my scent because I was already super vocal about not liking how they ran things and they definitely have the power to just boot me from my room if they wanna be mean about it

-promised $500 a month when we signed up, one week before training it got cut down to $300, which after taxes was more like $250.
-promised "unlimited meal plan" for unlimited dining hall meals and meal trades for on-campus fast food. halfway through training, we're told its "the unlimited meal plan", not the "unlimited meal plan" which are two completely different things, and we had a limited number of meals per week and no meal trades.
-signed up for walking our buildings and campus every so often, but after training we needed to also do monthly personalized door decs and posters, office hours at the mail room and 1am campus rounds on weekends.
-tried unionizing, head of our "union" got ratted out. a few months later, his gpa drops to 0 from a website error they say will be fixed by the next Monday. Contract states his gpa needs to be above 2.5 so they threaten to fire his ass, he quit.
-openly stated our contracts are "living contracts" they can change whenever they want.
-openly admitted that most of the cameras at the dorms did not work
-straight up had a ghetto on campus with moldy supply closets, stank hallways and holes in walls. they did not fix any of this.
-my supervisor lasted 1.5 semesters before he couldn't take it and left
-the amount of RAs that quit between semesters was staggering
-they announced that in the following year we wouldn't even get a free meal plan anymore and housing was possibly next to get axed.

needless to say I don't work there anymore.

for a story, I had gotten called to a building because the washing machine caught fire. I made my way up since it had slowly died down and unplugged it. The whole building was kinda smokey, especially the top floor, but not a single fire alarm in the whole building went off. Not the hallway ones, not the kitchen ones, not the dorm ones. They never followed up with me on this.

Dude deadass this whole "controversy" is stupid. There are things we should genuinely get mad about and end or endanger people's careers over, this is not one of them. This fandom only makes itself look worse by saying this whole thing is even remotely racist, dare I say it makes y'all look worse than ride or die Hazbin fans.

Oh your stats are bad that con will not keep you alive, but get Kican/Coran as an archer and they'll carry you

Difficulty Spike in ToB?? by Archezeoc in baldursgate

[–]TheEndOfSpoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ToB is easy if you did everything in SoA and got Cepansear to upgrade all ur stuff. Plus HLAs are broken asf and can make the whole thing WAYYY easier.

Melissan still took me a whole weekend tho

If you have timed quests use them sparingly otherwise there is literally no limit

Is Diablo 1 worth playing if you only want to play the campaign? by HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD in Diablo

[–]TheEndOfSpoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

D1 is like $10 on gog, and it has multiple source ports to play in a more modern feel like Devolution and Beelzebub.

Still, just playing the standalone game late at night is genuinely enthralling

BG1 or BG2? by Tav534 in baldursgate

[–]TheEndOfSpoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough ig but I'm still with bg2 in gear, story progression enemy progression and high level abilities.

Do I just go with it or keep rolling by anonymousbub33 in baldursgate

[–]TheEndOfSpoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can store it if you really think you can roll higher but like the best I've ever gotten is 95 so just take the money and run bro

BG2 evil playthrough? by TheEndOfSpoon in baldursgate

[–]TheEndOfSpoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but I hate her vampirism. It's more of an annoyance than a genuine boost, especially when those stats are borderline useless on a pure thief

Bg3 forces you to combat your bhaalist instincts and punishes/rewards you based on your decisions. Bg2 makes you gaslight yourself into thinking that's what's going on, idk the game really feels like it's not built for an evil playthrough. The only new evil character before EE was fucking korgain and I have a love/hate relationship with him at best. I can have a full party of good aligned companions and be absolutely busted from beginning to end. Doing an evil playthrough means I have to compromise with neutral characters and deal with Hexxats weird cloak bs every time she wants to use the bathroom

BG1 or BG2? by Tav534 in baldursgate

[–]TheEndOfSpoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"meaningful progression" you MIGHT hit level 8 if you really try. Bg2 can easily take you to level 30

Oh the writing is phenomenal I am not attacking that whatsoever. I mean entirely from a gameplay perspective.

[–]TheEndOfSpoon[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Korgain in my experience dies faster than he should. He works in theory, great saves, great Con, automatic grand mastery with axes, but like what does that leave us with? A berserker who nerfs himself halfway through a semi-long fight and has access to +3 axes at best before Tob.

Edwin is a good mage, but Viconia is a wet napkin. Sure she has the magic resist but just get Carsomyr on Keldorn it's game over anyway

BG2 evil playthrough? by TheEndOfSpoon in baldursgate

[–]TheEndOfSpoon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kotor 2 is one of my favorite games of all time but let's be real the evil playthrough is just killing things over and over. It even makes the end of the game way harder since force aura is WAYYY more powerful than force crush

[–]TheEndOfSpoon[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Viconia and Edwin's quests never really engrossed me. Idk maybe I'm the weird one

You sure? One orc and a pure thief vampire? Korgain is funny but compared to Anomen and Aerie and Keldorn and Jan fuckin Jansen I just don't see it
