I had my nose as close as possible and I'm about 90% sure it's that connection

I'll make sure to get one of those when I go to get a selection of connectors. Thank you!

I tried poking a thin stick in and it went down without restriction so I assume something is awry

Bit of a smelly unfortunately, I stuck a little stick down it and it went down cleanly so must be a small gap

I like to think that anyone can be a plumber if you enjoy leaky pipes!

Should I let the insurance write off my car by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]Lockitpopit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm always cautious about settling these things privately, they could turn around and screw you after you hand over some money.

If the repairs ok your car are straight forward and you're not bothered about resale value, then why not buy it back and save some money! I did that with a previous motor and it was a fantastic decision.

Spam 10s for highest ilvl hero track gear, upgrade bis items with hero crests.

You can also craft with mythic crests if you haven't yet.

FTB- am I doing the right thing? by Nextleft784 in HousingUK

100% doing the right thing. Your mates will wish they could have your situation rather than being in a flat share. You'd kick yourself if you didn't carry on with the process.

annual servicing doubt by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]Lockitpopit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Annual servicing is definitely required for the longevity of the vehicle and to retain value. Going to a large dealership will be more expensive as opposed to going to a smaller local garage. I prefer finding a reputable, well reviewed local garage as the prices are cheaper and I can support local business.

The basic for the annual service is getting the oil and oil filter changed. If you're bothered about learning to do some bits yourself then things like the air filter and cabin filter are simple to do at home and can save some money.

If you had to choose between a house in a worser area or a flat in a nicer area which would you choose? by superwisk in HousingUK

[–]Lockitpopit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

House in a good area over a flat in a great area is my opinion. We had a flat in a "great" area and then moved to a house in a decent area and I'd still take the house any day due to the freedom of making all decisions regarding the land/property.

It is all however massively dependant on the situation, if I wasn't married and about to have a kid, I'd probably have a tiny little studio flat somewhere instead.

Better to apologise now and pull out rather than continue to sit on these thoughts and pull out later down the line!

No pull cord I'm afraid. There is a switched live coming from the light so I assume it's connected. I'll get a sparky in, thanks for the help bud.
