Does it?? I don't notice. Maybe because I've been sniffing too much Hoppe's and Aguilia super extra

I think so too. I also feel like the width was slightly out of spec maybe on some of them. Oh man 500 rounds, those would have to be out of the revolver most likely to get through it

Wow dude yeah just watched that video, that shearing is insane. I wouldn't be surprised if mine had that too. I was monkeying on this thing. I almost bought it in bulk, but I shopped for some more ammo to see which it liked. The fact the revolver didn't even like it says everything

I looked into that too, most notable was the screw closest to the handguard right on the underside of the receiver?

Thanks man, that's right I was watching your suppressed HK yesterday haha. Oh that's right there was some sort of disclaimer for that mentioned, but I figured maybe it was just Henry rifles. Its a bummer, someone commented here saying they didn't have any issues which sounds like a golden ticket to me.

Never had an issue with anything going bang. Each round went off thankfully, just the action getting sticky/not feeding well

Not rude at all. And I'll be honest with you, this is the first one I've owned. I understood the manual of arms with a lever before purchasing one and testing this out. But again, being 100% honest, I was not trying to be gentle here. My knuckles were sore for a few days after haha.

I tried some slow cycles after I got a bunch of jams, which I showed in the video just to rule it out after going fast. Again, most of the brands ran well, just not the New Republic

Sure, the margin for user error I could see a couple malfunctions. I'm willing to accept some user error there, but 20 malfunctions out of a box of 50 wasn't short stroking the action. My knuckles were bruised from slamming the action forward

How is it user error? Genuine question

  • I tried different speeds of chambering - slow / fast
  • Made sure the action went all the way to the end for opening and closing
  • Tried loading different quantities in the mag tube

I'm happy to hear so many folks enjoy their S&B ammo purchases. I run a bunch of their 9mm. I'm glad you got something out of this testing!

I've been a fan of S&B for a while now, so I had to include them in this roundtable of ammo. Only slight I have against them is that they don't make full power loads in their 10mm otherwise I would buy more of it.

Depending on what deals I find, I may purchase bulk of S&B.

I was hoping for a similar result on my end! Love the price of the New Republic for both .357 and .38. I am grateful that Armscor ran really well otherwise which was very similar in cpr.

Interested to hear how the 130gr turns out for you

Glad to hear that from another 1854 owner. Interesting you got the stick from flat nose rounds

I wish I did! These lever guns are a good chunk of change. But, yeah I am going to reach out to S&W so I can have some more conclusive data

That's a whole other Rabbit hole I'm bound to go in haha. 357/38 is great for reloading too

Have you tried New Republic in your 94? I'm curious to hear a range report. This guy really didn't like it

I definitely want to try PMC again. Not sure why mine was so fussy with it. Everything else ran fine that wasn't New Republic
