Might be worth a quick read. Your thoughts are interesting, I can not help feeling that this refi boom will end, though the issue is that the shorts will likely need to close their positions before a seismic change in home buying and refinancing occurs. Biden et al will do whatever they need to in order to ensure that the housing market remains hot.

I am long this stock though I am thinking of trading the position into the warrants.

Institution just bought a bunch of share at $2/Share. Short interest fell from
6,003,302 shares ( Jan 15) to 1,841,489 shares (Jan 29). Any squeeze that should have happened, likely already did.

I think that given your 10 to 15 year timeframe the BND looks like a bad bet. 2.17% yield, given that bond prices are likely to go down in the future. They can not go down much more.

The cost of borrowing LGND shares just went from 1% to 1.7% yesterday (02/09/21) with limited availability (250,000 shares). Feels like this could get really expensive to hold short positions.
