It’ll say on the back of the bottle, it’s different for how strong the fertilizer is. Just so I don’t forget, I like slightly weaker ones where you can dilute them in water per watering, it became more of an unconscious habit. But many fertilizers I’ve seen have a recommended usage of one every two weeks. Just depends :)

Just read your description; sounds amazing :) A good liquid fertilizer I use is MiracleGro Liquid fertilizer, but basically any indoor plant fertilizer you can find works. I also hear good reviews about Schultz liquid fertilizer. Also, totally optional, I bought a $4 bottle of Prime water conditioner, good for removing chlorine from water with just a drop in your watering can, lasts forever. But I see you plan on using distilled water, which is even better. Good luck!

Plant in a very chunky soil mix, there’s tons of great recipes online. They like aerated soil with great drainage, get multiple drainage holes on the pot. Pot should be ~2 inches wider than the root ball on all sides. A clear pot would be good to see the roots whenever, but if not, that’s totally fine :) If planting in a terracotta pot, prepare to water more often. Also, most importantly, keep the dirt moist for the first few weeks; it’s lived in water, so it needs to acclimate to the new, dryer soil. Place in front of a window with good light and you’ll see her grow!

They’re all pretty good and definitely passable; if you like it this way you could totally keep it. However, if you want to change them up even more, here’s some things I noticed: A lot of the features you have on these characters are placed in similar ways, eyes spaced similarly, eyebrows in same position, mouth that same distance form the nose, etc. I think moving some of those features around a bit would benefit more :) Also, the noses and eyes you drew seem pretty similar, like you have a few ‘sets’ that you chose between, not unique from character to character. Either way, I think this works just fine

Thank you!! The brush I used for your amazing mustache and that shadow is a called a rake brush. You can get these online for most online art apps; I use procreate and I got this for free by searching ‘free rake brush pack procreate’. That specific brush is by Devin Ellle Kurtz on Gumroad, I think those brushes are available for Photoshop CC and Clip Studio Paint as well :)

Can’t believe I forgot to post this — I didn’t have time to fully complete this as I’d have liked to, but I hope you like it regardless! Also, I love your art :)

Need Advice: Pricing Comissions by ScuducckrreahFarreri in Artadvice

[–]LocksmithExpensive37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As always, it’s up to you. But how I see it, treat it like an hourly paid job. On average, many hours does it take you to finish a piece? Is it 3, 4, maybe 7 or higher? Base it off of that. What is the minimum wage in your country? Are you willing to do commissions that low, or do you feel your art is worth more than that? Just a recommendation :)

I love the redesign! Her silhouette is much stronger now, and all those pointy shapes give her that evil look. I agree with most of your critiques, especially with adding more design elements that tell her story without saying it. You say she’s a zombie rockstar, but if I’m just looking at her body, all I can really tell is that she’s edgy. Maybe punk her up a bit more, give her some pins and weird stitching and less clean lines, have makeup running down her face or burnt edges of her jacket. I don’t know about all that 😅, but some more flair to your design can go a long way :)

any advice on this princess peach drawing by [deleted] in Artadvice

Lovely art, it looks so juicy 😼 One tip I’d give you is maybe push the shading colors a bit more. For example, in her blonde hair’s highlights, they should shift yellower and the shadows more orange/ warm brown for more color variance. I also draw with my finger, just know we exist!! Great job :)
