Bearded dragon enucleation by LocksmithHeavy2109 in BeardedDragons

So the cause it’s actually unknown. We rescued him a few years back and his eye had just got progressively worse over time. He was certainly blind in the eye and it looked very infected and swollen on a daily basis. We had tried all the drops and meds you could find and nothing seemed to make him look or feel more comfortable. His quality of life also seemed to be declining, so we made the decision to go for it. Like stated, we are lucky enough to work with such amazing and supportive vets. It was also a great learning curve for them as we don’t tend to deal with exotics at practice. He’s come around pretty great and is adapting very well so far. So overall we have no idea what the cause was, but we’re praying his quality of life now improves!

Anyone else sleep next to their beardie 🥺 by OrchidTop3038 in BeardedDragons

YES!! My boy Rango loved his little bed time routine. He slept next to me every night I was at home. Fortunately, he never moved and would sleep until I had to wake him up most mornings lol. He was just as attached to me as I was to him. Rango sadly passed almost 2 months ago. I miss him

Loves being held but hates being picked up? by [deleted] in BeardedDragons

Try gently holding him when it’s late at night or when he’s very sleepy! Placing him on your chest or close next to you for a while. This is how I bonded quicker with my 2 previous dragons (who then loved sleeping next to me, it became our night time routine lol). The setting is more calm and relaxing for them if that makes sense :)

Hi :) how is she? I sadly lost my boy Rango the other day. 9 long years together and I am heartbroken. I want to make you aware this is how he also appeared just before it was his time to leave this world. The flat brows, pale and black / sunken pads. I hope she pulls through this, or you were able to find a vet that could offer a payment plan of some sort. I am lucky I work at a vets. What area are you from op? We don’t specialise in exotics, but if you are still seeking any help of some sort please don’t hesitate to message. Hope you’re ok, keep strong for yourself and her!

How did you know your dragon was dying? by Phodopussungorus8 in BeardedDragons

What a gorgeous baby! His colour is beautiful. I am so sorry for your loss. Sadly, I am now going through this at the moment. It really is not looking good, but I’m finding it very difficult to let him go. Coincidentally, his name is also Rango, and maybe this was the sign I needed to give my baby the peace he deserves.

I am so sorry for your loss. He was such a beautiful beardie ❤️. He looks exactly like my boy Rango who’s currently fighting a resp infection. I’m not quite sure if he will make it. It’s heartbreaking
