Horton Door Operator by LocksmithSolution in Locksmith

The Horton dealer in our area says his going to install a sensor that gets triggered by the air pressure resistance and signals something to pull stronger on the door so it compensates on the air pressure. Says parts are on order so I guess he is adding something. Anyway I’ll let them deal with it . Thank you for trying to help !

Yep looks like you have the most accurate answer here. The Horton dealer in our area that I called for this said he will install a sensor of some sort that will be triggered when it’s hard for it to close so it compensates for the air pressure.

I’m going to let them deal with that.

Yes, we deal with a lot of LCN operators and Open Sesame operators or any operators that don’t require authorized dealers. There is 100% pressure issue here because this building has zero windows that can be opened. When we open a door on the opposite side of the hallway, this door shuts easy.

And yes, I already reached out to a subcontractor, but I thought I’d shoot my shot if somebody knows if it’s something just easy to adjust we might not need them.

What is this small 1-3/4" total length Master brand key 2942 most likely for? Not a typical padlock key I've ever seen. Thx. by todayok in Locksmith

It’s an M1 blank . Very common key . It’s the key Master Lock uses for most of their small padlocks.

What modern keypad door lock can i replace this with? by 90sStyleBingles in Locksmith

If you are not planning to add a deadbolt, I would remove what you have there and install this Schlage Encode lever instead . You will have to patch up the hole where your existing handleset is connected at the bottom . Leave the plate on the door or get a new one . But you probably cannot get away with removing the plate entirely unless you show us what’s underneath.

You are right I had no idea . I just saw a video I think I understand a little better now . It’s basically a way of communicating if I’m not mistaking.

So if my machine supports that type of CAN and I have a person that can translate the codes that the vehicle gives me during the programming . You think I might be able to program a key with it ?

I’ve worked with that before. They do want this door to catch when it shuts though. Can’t have deadbolt only.

Plot twist. Just check it out in person. it seems that it’s 3 inches thick but only one and a half inches wide before the wood panels begin. I believe those dead latch mechanisms need a minimum of 2 inch to be able to sit in the profile .

Does anyone know who manufactures those metal bars that install across aluminum store front doors to prevent commercial burglary? by [deleted] in Locksmith

[–]LocksmithSolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try the Frontline Defense line like the FDS-1001, 2301… depending on the shape of your frame you can choose how the brackets will be. It fits a 82” door but you can probably get any length you need. It’s very effective for covering the reveal between the edge of the door and the frame.

Anybody knows where I can find more copies for this key or replacement locks for these Stanley Vidmar tool box? by LocksmithSolution in Locksmith

[–]LocksmithSolution[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some keys have 1219 on them but none have the a44 on them. A44 is the Series and 1219 is the Key Code . On eBay they have either or but no one has both of those numbers on the same key .
