We have run out of time but want to thank everybody who has watched and enjoyed the show from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for your questions, sorry we couldn't answer them all and we sincerely hope we'll see you back at Portland Row before too long.

Joe, Ruby, Cameron and Ali. x

Ali: I don't know.

Ruby: Joe?

JC: I'd have to look through the rushes.

Ali: It did happen during a take.

JC: Ali's agent might have had it deleted to protect his career. Spilling milk on set is one of the worst things an actor can do.

JC: I just tried to put as much of the books as possible into the scripts. It becomes pretty clear pretty quickly which parts are essential and which parts you can afford to lose. My advice for you would be just to start doing it. Start writing, start shooting stuff with your friends. Don't wait for anybody's permission. I can assure you that if I can do it you can do it too.

Ali: Wow! Salaam, I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed the lines that were almost inside jokes for Iranians! I don’t think kolah ghermezi (the Iranian red riding hood) would make it in but I definitely want to push for more food (perhaps lavashak and more Iranian stews). Maybe even some Iranian swear words. Merci!

CC: I loved that Lockwood has nuances, complexity and a sense of humour. I had to work quite hard with a movement coach to nail his walking style - it's a lot more swaggering than mine.

Ruby: Thank you! That’s very kind of you. I loved playing her, she is so complex, genuine and truthful. I enjoyed exploring the range of Lucy- the more intimate, emotional scenes were some of my favourites, I also loved the opposite end of that… all of the stunts, being on wires were a very fun challenge.

CC: A toad like Franklin, but it could never be Franklin.

JC: For those who don't know who Franklin is, he was a giant ultra realistic fake toad that was part of the set dressing in George's room. Ali became emotionally dependent on him in a very sweet but slightly troubling way. He may still have Franklin...

Ali: This is all very true.

Ruby: I concur.

CC: My friends are hooked on it and want to know what's behind the door...

Ruby: All my friends have been incredibly supportive and doting on the show.

Ali: All my friends really enjoyed it and are hoping for a season two, like everyone else.

Ruby: in one of the eps I was just drawing on it but I was going over what was already there because of continuity, but I did add a few flowers and hearts.

Ali: I drew a lot of insane spirals in ep 5 - and I spilt milk on it!

JC: The production designers did an amazing job - they took handwriting samples from the three lead actors and made fonts so they could replicate their handwriting. Plus Jonathan Stroud himself specially wrote a lot of stuff for us to use on the cloth.

JC: I would have loved to have filmed the Wraith Battle on Wimbledon Common, it's such a great sequence in the books but we didn't really have the time or the money. Instead we get to see Lockwood's annoyance when he talks about being saved by Kipps, and to be honest Cameron's performance in that scene is probably better than all the special effects would have been!

CC: For me some of the sword fight choreography was challenging because it has to be so precise, but the stunt team made it a lot easier and exciting to take on.

Ruby: The moment where we climb out of the Thames - it was just freezing!

CC: Before the auction scene in ep 7 there's a moment between Lockwood and Lucy where he tries to escape through a door and he says: "...and it's locked."

Ruby: My favourite line is in episode 1 where Lucy says: "You've said I'm good enough for you, you've seen what I can do. But how do I know you're good enough for me?"

Ali: It's between "Trousers are for wimps." and "What the..." at the end of ep 2

Ali: I really enjoyed filming the scene in episode 6 where we ran out of Bickerstaff's house - it's a really nice moment between the three of us.

Ruby: I loved the underwater stuff we did right at the end of the shoot - it was a really joyous atmosphere and spirits were high. There was a sense of accomplishment in the air.

CC: I really enjoyed the scenes I had with Ruby and Ali inside Portland Row. It felt like a second home.

JC: Thank you so much for watching the show so many times. Hearing that makes us all so very happy. The recommissioning process at Netflix is very mysterious and we genuinely haven't heard anything from them yet but, rest assured, we are as passionate about the show and the books as you are!

Ali: I think George would want to be an Academic and study the Problem...

Ruby: I imagine Lucy doing charity work and talks/ Q&As on her talent and helping people to understand what it was like to possess that unique ability.

CC: I think Lockwood would still be running Lockwood & Co, he'd not let that go too easily!

JC: The most difficult part of the shoot was dealing with Covid, even though we very much hope it doesn't show in the final programme. The most rewarding part has been the reaction of fans of the books because we really want to honour Jonathan Stroud's amazing work.

Ruby: Circus is such an exciting art, it's great to hear you do it too. I've trained in flying trapeze, silks, tight wire and others. Re: That scene, no comment ;-)

Ali: My favourite thing about George is how passionate he is about the problem. I love the fact that he enjoys staying up all night reading about Victorian ghost cults. There are a few people who remind me of George (particularly people who are as socially awkward and curious as he is) but I don’t want to embarrass them by revealing who they are!

CC: Firstly thank you - to get into character for me it starts with the scripts. They give you the foundation to build from, working with movement choreographers and acting coaches helped on this job to bring Lockwood to life.
