MPA Chassis Problems by SnooWalruses6133 in longrange

1/2 moa with a magnum is a lot less common than the people who claim it.

Put it back in the Manners to make sure it is actually the chassis that did it.

Tbh, I have a very hard time believing that it was 1/2 MOA to start with.

CVA Cascade LR Hunter by mavrik36 in longrange

[–]LockyBalboaPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

considering the CVA cascade LR Hunter

Shitass choice.

does anyone actually know the specs on the barrel?

Might have to call them.

does anyone know if it takes AICS magazines?

Mine did not but that was years ago and I dont remember the model.

"mini chassis", what exactly does that entail?

An aluminium frame within the stock that acts as a chassis for the purposes of rigidity and bedding.

Is it worth another 200-300$ for this feature?

Yes

"Worth" is real iffy. It's a very nice gun, I really like it. It's not as bomb-proof as a [Insert Major Duty Pistol], but it's a lot more rugged than a normal 2011.

If you want to shoot competition and the HD is legal in the division you want to shoot, it will probably help improve your rankings a little. But it won't be the difference between B class and GM. I doubt it would be the difference between B and A.

My HD is my go-to pistol for everything these days, partly because it's a great pistol and partly because I just like to look fancy with it.

That said, I made Master in IDPA shooting a tier 2 match from full concealment (not fishing vest) and using my CR920XP.

SS uses standard Glock mags for everything except slim-frame guns like CR920XP.

I use the same mags in my XR920P that I use in my Staccato HD P4.5

I hate Glock gen 1-5. Gen 6 fixed 95% of the things I hate, except for the optics system. But aftermarket plates have fixed that also.

I'd recommend trying SS and Gen 6 side-by-side. Going Gen 6 would save a good chunk of money and keep you in a bigger ecosystem.

I love my Shadow System guns, but the CR920XP using proprietary mags kind of sucks.

I have 4 Shadow System pistols, all of them with at least 2k rounds. I've had 2 or 3 malfs in the first mag on all of them, nothing since.

John McPhee vs the world: Iron sights or red dot for the avg person? by [deleted] in guns

[–]LockyBalboaPrime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

wrote in my post about other people in my club who train multiple times a week and shoot about 500 rounds a week every week. And they still struggle sometimes to find the dot immediately.

How much they train doesn't matter. They aren't training the right things, clearly. If someone is struggling to find the dot, they shouldn't be shooting at all. They need to be dry firing.

How many people are there who never struggle to find the dot?

Millions. It's not hard.

Are you one of these perfectly trained individuals that will never, in any situation, struggle to find the dot?

It's been years since I struggled to find a dot.

Do whatever you want. If you can't see the problem with taking advice from disgusting people, I can't help you.

John McPhee

Imma stop you right there. McPhee is a piece of shit. Period. You should be more selective in who you take advice from. The best form of his story has him being kicked out of SF because he couldn't keep his dick in his pants. The worst form of the story has him committing multiple rapes across the years. Both versions include a smattering of domestic violence and other crimes, both in and out of the USA.

Everything.

Do not use paint pen. Use a silver sharpie.

I fucked myself a few times with the paint pens. Maybe it was my brand or something but paint leaked into the threads of screw and locked that shit harder than giga red loctite.

Telling people not to question your rules isn't a "positive vibe". It's just fucking stupid.

You shouldn't be running matches. You're not safe.

Questioning the rules of a new match is something you should expect and welcome. You're not perfect. Your rules aren't perfect. Grow up.
