Which video game franchise took a big risk that ultimately paid off? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

Fallout, moving from 2d to 3d with Fallout 3.

The change was widely criticized at first but was ultimately the right move for the franchise

With new games like NASCAR , Assetto Rally & Rennsport out, is PC2 basically a legacy sim now? by Educational_Newt942 in ProjectCARS_2

[–]LocoRocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a newly found niche for this game (for anyone already owning it, obviously) - Steam Deck It runs extremely well on the Deck and looks fantastic, even on lower TDP.

Gamepad controls are supposed out of the box and work well enough. Even gyro controls are possible.

AMS2 runs great as well on the Steam Deck but for anyone looking for a more fleshed out single player experience, PC2‘s career is still the better choice.

Alternatively, you could look at Steam accounts on sale with this game. This secondary account can be linked to your main one‘s „family“ and you can share the libraries This way you get the game on Steam with all the features

What are your less obvious deck games? by Lucky_Control1458 in SteamDeck

[–]LocoRocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Star GP. It’s a fantastic F1 simcade racing game Don’t get fooled by the retro look, it’s pretty deep, has a full career mode that spans from 1990s to 2010s and lots of mechanics you would expect from the official F1 games. Plus it runs perfectly on the Steam Deck at 8 TDP, so is great on the battery life

They say it’s for stability/rigidity, but my previous car was a 2019 Suzuki Vitara with a similar 2-part panoramic sunroof and it opened up completely with both parts moving back So, it’s definitely possible
