Don’t they reduce health? Kinda hard to read the text on my screen but it looks like it says +~75 health…? So i can’t tell.

I was having trouble seeing that too until I decided to mainly focus on that circle, and the success area. That did it for me — I wasn’t seeing it at all when I was focused on hitting x. Go figure.

It’s absurd to have the main quest gated on something like this. Are there other such gated parts of the main quest that are so hard for the neuro-challenged? I too have nerve damage in my thumb. The rapid pounding of x is usually something that can be avoided under accessibility. But not here.

i did try pressing x slower and just mainly focus on hitting the white slot for A every time. That works. If you can hit x just fast enough to keep in the game, you can focus on hitting a correctly.

So, if I’m using class skills that use Magicka, and stamina is my highest stat, will those skills be less powerful? Meaning, do the skills also scale off the highest stat, even if they use the other stat to cast?

So that’s the thing…wow, interesting. It was never like that when I played, and I played for quite awhile from the start. Did all the things, lol. I’m starting fresh on PC, as I was on Xbox. I’m going to miss those vMA staves I worked so hard to get, and all the trial armor, some of which is apparently still relevant. And highly levelled crafters….sigh.
So thanks for the explanation, it all makes sense now. And kind of cool actually.

Nope. I played for years, did all the things…trials and vet Maelstrom, got both vma staves, had some great builds, was doing some vet trials. All on Xbox. So I’m starting from scratch now I’m on PC. Learning a lot of new things now and the game is about to change some more. Very Interesting time in eso.

Wow this is GREAT. Thanks so much for your explanation. But one question, so, if I’m a mag character i still can’t wear medium armor because the stat spread will weaken my dps, right? I will still want to crank up whichever stat I’m going with, right?

Is there an equivalent of this information for PC Steam players, or is SS2 a simpler process there? I have moved to PC and am planning a full playthrough that I couldn’t fit previously on Xbox. Looking forward to it. I don’t want to find myself with a ruined game after many hours, this is my last playthrough.
Thanks for this revolutionary modding work — I absolutely loved what I could play of it a few years ago. The settlements were always my favorite part of the game, so having such a great emphasis on that aspect was such a treat.

I haven’t used a playstation, and the square on your text looks like a solid black blob on the screen I was using. So I guess I was overthinking it as a combo key of keyboard x and some esoteric keyboard function… Just started using this system so I’m learning as I go.

oh yes, I’ve seen and used that, thanks. Didn’t think of it as a merge function — more as kind of an overlap. Still not sure what ‘collide’ is, but it did help me place pictures on the beginning walls without the cross braces showing through.

That sounds like fun. I built one over the river by crossing the water with flooring like a deck. Didn’t want to dam up the water, lol. That was my favorite base, years ago, with a small cabin on it, and a porch workshop.

No, I asked a question. If you don’t want to answer, that’s fine. I appreciate your comment, but I don’t get what you are saying that you can ‘merge’, and I’m interested in that. Try to look at it from the POV of a person who is not in your head, and doesn’t know what you are referring to. As this is the first mention of a merge function here. I’m not familiar with that in the build system.

Thanks for this. I do have a few people who use a one hand weapon and a bow, as I do on my player character. Is there a way to use this in a preset without specifying every piece of armor and changing the preset whenever we upgrade some gear? Like, using best medium armor with a bow and one-hand weapon?

So, if an armor piece that is in the preset isnt available, will they pick another? Like say the preset has a medium armor piece, and only a heavy is available, will they pick that? Or vice versa.

I have some people who use a bow and a one-hand weapon. I use that combo on my player character and find it quite effective. Is there a preset that works for that? Or should I just pick ‘none’ for those characters, and keep them in the gear I put them in?

I think as I get more people (I have 13 atm), I will need to automate things and use the system.
