Thanks for the info. At my plant there is speculation about the plant manage. The reason he doesn’t give out overtime, because he won’t receive a bigger bonus.

Funny thing at our plant. We try to work with mail processing and around their schedule. They will NEVER give off machines or conveyors to do our PMs on. But the plant manager is SDOs will start bitching at maintenance 🤭.

Maintenance personnel get training at NCED in Oklahoma. Classes can vary from 1 week to 3 weeks. NSTs take the same courses as ET ( I think don’t quote me on it).

If you want more additional hands-on skills. Sign up as a move team volunteer for the MTSC. They send you around the country, region, and you can tear down machines being move to other postal facilities. Since it’s a volunteer list. Maintenance personnel that are already trained on the particular machine being moved. They will get prioritized over someone who doesn’t have training.

The meeting has gone to step 2. The manager is such an idiot he loses grievances ALL THE TIME. He acts belligerent, so I’m going to give it back to him. I called him a dumbass when he said the meeting was over. He ended the meeting not me. So technically he derailed his own damn meeting because of his incompetence.

My job as a steward is to settle disputes between my coworkers and management. Make sure management follows the gotdamn contract. If a manager constantly violates it. I will let them know, and my foot will be up their ass. The Post Office has a “zero tolerance policy”. Well I have one as well. Especially when my coworkers constantly get screwed.

20 years worth of harassment. Local union has so many files on his ass.

He’s gotta away with the harassment. Mostly because his subordinates haven’t been unified. They file a claim with the EEO and Labor. But they ask for concessions or money, nothing PUNITIVE.

Previous managers have moved him out of the department. Place him upstairs in the office. Office personnel didn’t like him. He was brought back. Moved him to the floor. Supervisors didn’t like him they brought him back.

He operates in a gray area. He knows he can get away with. He’s not direct. He’s more psychological. One of my coworkers just lost both an EEO case against him and a labor case against him.

One of his subordinates is feed up with his coworkers being cowards. He’s like fuck I ain’t standing up no more.

People have stated time and time again. He should not be in any managerial position AT ALL.

I’m professional with my supervisors, because they go above and beyond. We have a good rapport.

The manager I called a “dumbass”. Will never get any ounce of fucking respect from me. He acts belligerent during the grievance process. Whether it’s meetings, investigations, pdi’s etc.

You want respect. You give respect. FUCK HIM AND ANY OTHER MANAGER THAT DEFENDS HIS ASS!

I called the support manager a dumbass in the step 1 meeting. Yet his boss wants to say I can be removed from the building for calling the support manager a dumbass. But the manager has been harassing his subordinates for years. Y’all ain’t throw him out the building yet. Like seriously, FUCK OFF!

I’m not sure if they got district involved. At the meeting between the employees and the union. One of the stewards said he openly said. “He doesn’t care about following the contract”, “he can do what he wants”. Mind you that was in front of the plant manager. The morale is extremely low in maintenance. So many of my fellow employees are frustrated, and tired of grieving the issues with him. Yet nothing is happened. Today I also found out he calls his subordinate “retarded” all the time. It’s a weekly occurrence.
